faulty item, replaced without issues. good service overall
ordered a mobile phone online to be picked up in store. as stock was low, no shipping/delivery was available
i received a text notification 2 days later, letting me know that my item was ready for pickup at my selected store
out of the box, the phone had issues with the sim tray (wouldnt eject the sim properly and got stuck). the original store i had purchased the phone from had sold out, so i had to ring another dick smith for stock and head there to have the item replaced. slightly inconvenient, but things like this happen
the phone was swapped over without any issues, and the new one worked fine. hopefully it holds out for the next couple of years
so overall, good service, just inconvenient having to drive around for faults with the item, but its no fault of Dick Smith

super duper quick delivery
bought a 4TB seagate desktop hard drive
paid for item on a thursday night, with free delivery
received order confirmation and order shipped emails
item arrived the next day, but was delivered to my local post office as i wasnt home to receive it - cant fault delivery times at all!
i didnt receive an invoice (for warranty purposes) so i called up their online sales team who advised me they would email me a copy and should arrive within 48 hours (hopefully it does!)
price was cheaper than competitors at the time of purchase. free delivery was a bonus. delivery time was great. service so far has also been of high standard. if they keep this up, i will definitely buy from them again

managed to snag it for the price of the 2 pack (in the same model) sold at other retailers, so the price was definitely good
delivery was nice and quick, with an email notifying me that my order had been shipped the next day and the item actually arriving the day after that. 3 days in total for the placement of the order to it being in my hands
definitely pleased with both the price and the delivery. and so far, the phone has also been great

Kindle WiFi
I purchased a Kindle WiFi 6" e-ink Black for my a Christmas gift from Dick Smith, my purchase went surprisingly well.
Free shipping was awesome and Dick Smith had decent prices, I only live 2 minutes away from a Dick Smith store but getting it shipped to my door was so easy and I had a variety of payment options available such as PayPal.
I've heard bad things about Dick Smith and I really don't like their stores but ordering online was pretty smooth (website could be better) and it was shipped fairly quickly whilst they kept me updated with info on how I could track it.
The Kindle itself is packaged in a unique and awesome way, no wall charger but it does charge via USB and you rarely have to charge it.

I ordered some Logitech earphones from Dick Smith on Christmas day. This is during the busy season so I wasn't expecting my order til at least 2 weeks later but they arrived today, the 2nd of January - an impressive 6 business days!
Arrived via registered post and my product was fine. This was during a free shipping promo so great value there.
My first Dick Smith online shopping experience was good so I'll be back for any other electrical I need. Sometimes their site can be misleading with 'up to ___% off' signs but otherwise their site is easy to navigate and checkout is quick and easy.
