Officeworks are usually the cheapest for the stock lines they carry and if you find a cheaper price elsewhere, they'll beat the price by 5%. They also have extreme clearance items starting from 1c, but those are quite hard to find. Some of their items, like some printers, have model codes unique to Officeworks to prevent pricematching, which is a little irritating. Overall a good retailer.
There are some great specials advertised on the website, and while my local store doesn't seem to carry some of the items listed , by ordering online I can (usually) have them sent there at no extra charge for collection.
Because I do not live in a capital city, their delivery charges are quite high so I simply don't select delivery, but this is not a problem, as I pass the store to go into town anyway.
While Officeworks advertised policy is to beat other advertised prices by 5 per cent, the one time I attempted to utilise this at my local store they reluctantly matched the price but did not beat it.
I ordered an office gas-lift chair and plastic storage tower from Officeworks and got the shipping information very quickly. The order was delivered in good condition and the estimated shipping date was accurate. The courier even delivered them to the doorstep of my apartment unit which is more than I can ask for since the items were bulky and weighed quite a bit.
Ridiculously cheap clearance sales, free pick-up at your local store!
Discovered officeworks.com.au's clearance items- bought 3 pairs of pink Sony earbuds for $2.04 each (retail for $35)! Selected FREE pick-up in-store, and received a phone call 2 days later to say that my order was ready for me to pick up! My only regret is that I didn't buy more! Plus, if you change your mind, you can return the item to an actual store so no worries about return post etc.
Officeworks make online shopping easy. The prices aren't the best but their delivery and service is amazing. Spend $50 and get free same day shipping (before 11:00 am) or next day shipping. Love not having to spend my lunch hour searching for the thing I need!!
I bought a bunch of disposable cameras from Office works. They were under 10, which was the cheapest I've seen anywhere at the time, however the prices at Officeworks aren't always cheaper. They do price match (although I haven't tried this online, not sure if they let you) so make sure to check other sites like JB HI FI. All in all great place to shop.
I bought a 1.5TB Seagate GoFlex USB3.0 2.5" external hard drive from Office Works. It was a replacement for a previous one of these which failed after getting soaked in a flood, so I knew what I was getting and was very happy with it. The drive is comparatively pretty reliable and is the best compromise of size and capacity available now.
It was well packaged and arrived quickly a couple of working days later and I was perfectly happy with the experience of ordering from OfficeWorks.
