I have used Book Depository a few times now and they have a wide selection of books all at prices below retail. Shipping is not the fastest but it's FREE.
I bought three photography books from this website for approx $110 total. They have free shipping worldwide on all their orders which is great. Shipping is of course slower than buying from an Australian website, but it only took a little under 3 weeks to arrive which I thought was reasonable. They ship the items well so the books didn't get damaged and the prices were the best I've seen anywhere. One of the books was half the price of what I have seen in Aus retailers. Would most definitely use this site again.
I ordered two little fiction paper backs to enjoy over the summer break from uni. They came in about 8 business days and were in perfect condition. They have good prices and great selection.

The day I discovered Book Depository I was jumping with joy because I really love reading books (although I own an iPad I prefer reading actual physical books) but they're so expensive to buy.
So, Book Depository offers books are very competitive prices and also provides free shipping!
I've bought a number of books from here at low prices (especially a lot of my language textbooks which cost a fortune to buy at bookstores). On this particular order I bought a French textbook which arrived in about a week or so.
Only time I had an issue with them was when they sent me the wrong book. But I decided to keep it anyways without asking for an exchange because I had wanted to buy that book anyways. Nonetheless I hope that they can take better care in their postage and handling so that the right items get delivered.
The book depository is always my first stop to find books. The shipping can take a long time when you order from the UK or US, but it is a tiny price to pay when you are given access to so many hard to find and out of print books.

The prices on the site for books are pretty much the cheapest I can find on the internet.
They're packaging for books is also very good - wrapped snugly in padded cardboard, which keeps the book in good nick.
