Second purchase from shopbop. The first was a Alexander Wang rocco bag and a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings. The second was a Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet. Shipping is free for orders over $100 which is easy to spend when you are buying designer gear. I received the items within 1-2 weeks. It was all I expected it to be, quick and packaged like it would be when purchased from a store. Great sales and amazing prices on American branded products like Marc Jacobs. Much cheaper than Aust.
Ordered a dress from here but the sizing was very off, even considering the difference in US and AUS sizing, however Shopbop was willing to return the item and pay for the shipping back to the US when I explained the problem.
I wanted to get this Tory Burch flats which are not sold in Australia.
So I googled search and found a few retail websites that had the flats that I wanted.
I came across this site and it was the cheapest site I could purchase the Quinn Ballet Metal Logo Flats, Clay Beige/Gold flats.
I placed an order for size 6 US.
Price $235 USD included shipping and handling from USA.
This price converted to AUD at the time was $251AUD paid.
I thought that the price was well reasonable considering that it was from the US.
The item arrived in 3 days as per website states for all international orders will be delivered in 3 working days.
I was so excited to receive these in 3 days so that I could wear them for my birthday.
When i received the item, it was well packaged with lots of tissue paper and the shoe was not damaged or faulty.
Unfortunately, the size was a bit too big for me.
So using the free returns - which was excellent as this was international returns, I scheduled a pick up time for DHL to pick up the item and printed off the return forms and slips.
The refund was received just after a week.
I placed another order for the smaller size and received it - fit perfect and quality excellent.
I just bought a Marc Jacobs slim black wallet. Though I love this website to buy more luxury items, I must say I was slightly disappointed with this current purchase.
The item was not as pictured. The picture showed it to be a more satin finish to the black and better quality in general. When the wallet arrived it was more of a matte black and the white lining around the wallet looked more cream.
Shipping was excellent as always, but because i was not completely satisfied with the wallet, I wanted to return it. But because shopbop uses DHL, the return fee was nearly $40. Which is a standard return price but still way too expensive in my opinion, especially for a wallet.
Because of the cost of return, I ended up selling my wallet to a friend. Though overall their shipping is pretty efficient, took about 1 and half weeks for the wallet to arrive, the return cost can be a little off putting.
*Though for those interested, if you opt for a return, you have the option of having DHL pick the item up from you, or bringing it to DHL's office (near the international airport) yourself. The cost ($40) is a flat rate cost, so you'll still be charged $40 even if you bring it to the office.
Overall I do really love this website, just be sure to look at other user pictures of the item before buying it. Their pictures can be deceiving!
My boyfriend got a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag from Shopbop for my birthday. The shipping took about 5 days and they arrived in a big gift box with ribbons!
I have purchased from Shop bop on a number of occasions and generally their garments are great quality and priced competitively. Delivery is timely so no complaints
Late last year however I had to return a garment which was a sale item but did not match the description online. Without fuss my credit request was accepted (because of the misrepresentation) and I followed their return procedures for free return delivery however it took me about 8 weeks and a couple of emails to actually receive the credit so if you are returning be patient in the beginning if that is what you experience but dont leave it to chance that you will get the return credited to your account as a matter of course. Keep copies of all your paperwork that you send the garment back with and chase up the credit after about 6 weeks. They will tell you first that it hasnt been received but lo and behold a week or so later the garment's return was confirmed and I received my credit
