I LOVE Moon Pig! I love their products, I love the ease of service and I love the fun to be had on the site. Whenever I decide to order something on there, it takes me about an hour of browsing to decide what I want! I have in the past ordered multiple items: Birthday cards, secret Valentine's cards, mugs! The quality of their products is second to none, and the variety is endless. I created a mug as a little extra for my little sister's 20th Birthday and had my favourite photo of us together put on the front - she was ecstatic and so was I! The photo quality was great and the quality of the mug was not a reflection of the cost.
Cards can be so expensive these days! Especially if you're looking for something with a bit of character.
Moonpig has found a niche in the market. They have the usual range of cards, plus some very funny ones. All of them can be personalised, not only inside (with your personal message) but also on the front too e.g. adding in a person's name, or even a photograph.
The hardest part about using their service is choosing the card you want. Once you've done that it's plain sailing.
The cards are shipped quickly (with an express option) and postage is well priced. You can also save further by pre-purchasing e.g. $50 worth.
There also offer a free reminder service for people's birthdays, anniversaries etc, and in the event you've left it late there is also the option of sending an e-version of your card.
In this instance, I found the card I wanted (humour and birthday) and was happy with the selection they had on offer. I personalised it, addressed it and had completed the order within 15 minutes. The card arrived within the time specified. Happy customer.
I went through a big phase of purchasing personalised cards (as well as invites and thank you notes) for friends and family on Moonpig. What I love about the site is just exactly how personal you can get with the cards/invites etc. It is relatively easy to understand however I think they could probably change the way the site navigates and simplify it a bit. Shipping is very fast, especially if you pay for express postage you're looking at between 2-5days! The cost of the actual cards is pretty much what you would expect to pay for a nice card at the newsagency which is good. What I don't love about Moonpig is it's technical difficulties. It often has site glitches where you will get through right to the very end and then lose EVERYTHING you have been working on. It is gutting. On the positive side to this I was offered a complimentary card for my troubles; which is good but the whole situation is still a bit of a sore point for me. After finding amazingly cheap and great quality designed cards at my local cheap shop I probably wouldn't bother paying the extra $4-5 dollars for a personalised card unless it was for a very special occasion.
