Prices can be good, service depends on the store
Ordered a couple of wall timers to be collected at my local DSE.

I received a confirmation email and even more surprising, that my item was ready for pickup the same day.

Pickup was trouble free, just requiring my order number and an ID.

Buying online is easy, though refunds (through PayPal) can take a while
Ordered a laptop bag for (free) pickup at my local Dick Smith store

My order was confirmed and available for pick up on the same day, which was great (though the time taken does very between store to store).

Unfortunately, when i picked up the bag, i found the laptop bag wasn't suitable, so a refund was required.

As i had paid via Paypal, i was told there was a possible wait of up to 2 weeks for the refund to be processed.

I think the actual time to receive the refund wasn't as long as stated, but they give a longer time frame to manage expectations.

Overall, the whole buy and refund process wasn't painful, and the general service was acceptable.

I will continue to buy from Dick Smith
