I ordered some surfmats from the website and only today which is 12 days later I got my first contact from them saying they r out of stock and could not supply. I got my refund but the fact it took them so long to tell me is ridiculous. I incurred further cost to purchase elsewhere as had to use speed delivery. Order with caution as website data is unreliable
Purchased 1x phone case + 1x printer on boxing day sales. Paid same day. Notified that printer was available for pickup 1 week later. However, one month on, I was still not notified whether the mobile phone case was available for pickup despite many calls to their customer support.
Customer service just says we will let you know when we have it.
Ordered a micro sim card for pick up at my local store during a sale nearly 2 months ago. Was advised at ordering time that the store was out of stock but that they would have them again in around 10 days, and that I would be contacted at that time to collect my order, for which I have already paid.
Slow shipping for small things I ordered this dartboard for my husbands birthday which was on the 24/01 it did not arrive until 28/01 I rang customer service on the 22/01 they were very nice but not very helpful it shipped from NSW to WA it took 10 days I order my husbands darts from the uk on the same date and it arrived before 4 days before the dartboard- go figure
On the 22/02/2013 i ordered a 'Philips Nose Ear and Eyebrow Trimmer' and a '12 Pack of Philips Powerlife AAA Alkaline Batteries' from Harvey Norman online.
Today i received an email notification that my order was ready for pickup, when i arrived and managed to get hold off a staff member they looked a little confused as to what to do when i handed them the invoice, after 5-10 minutes out the back they couldn't find my order and just picked my order off the shelf in front of me lol, seems obvious my order wasn't actually set aside like it should've been, not very 'professional' hey Gerry??
Ordered some ITunes cards that were an advertised special, which worked out to a 25 per cent discount. The local store supposedly had no stock, so I simply ordered via the online store. It's usually a reasonably pain-free experience, though the site can be a bit slow when it has heavy traffic.
Later that same day (within a couple of hours) I received an email letting me know my order was ready to collect from the local store.
The only real complaint I had with the whole transaction was the time it took to get served in the store to collect them. Not unusual at my local store though.
As my transaction was made through the online store, my rating is for there, not the local store.
As my old laptop bag is getting old, I was looking at several alternatives.
It came out harvey norman had the best price and a decent looking laptop bag.
The online shopping process itself is pretty easy and another plus point is that you can do online purchase without paying any shipping fee when you can pick it up from any store.
The only thing I don't particularly like about Harvey Norman's online shopping is that they send you too many emails after the purchase.
Personally, I find this annoying as I have received 5 emails which are : 1.Email of my payment 2.Order confirmation 3.Notification of order collection 4.Tax Invoice 5.Rate item 6.Rate your online shopping experience
I believe the first 4 emails are pretty normal and straightforward, but I don't think sending 6 emails for purchase of one small item is still ok in this case.
