VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
My experience with MobiCity has thus far been VERY POOR, after ordering a phone and having it disappear in transit they have bounced me around for over 2 months. Although Toll Shipping has marked the parcel as lost, MobiCity is yet to acknowledge this and I still have no phone.

The little extra you pay to a local dealer ensures you receive your product and entitled service.

Terrible postage and handling time
I ordered an Xperia Z recently from Mobicity. The item was in stock when I ordered it, and was an 'open box' phone, so there was only one available anyway. Handling time was supposed to be 2-5 days, but after 8 it still hadn't been shipped. Contacted them and was informed the item was on back order and wasn't in stock at the warehouse (a bit strange for a one off 'open box' item that was marked as in stock when I ordered it). They could give me no ETA for delivery time, so I canceled my order. I now have to wait up to 5 business days for a refund to come through (assuming this time frame is more accurate than postage times) and am left without a phone until I can order one from somewhere else. One of the main reasons I even bothered with this company was the advertised postage and handling times, which where shorter than some of their competitors, but that isn't the case if they can't keep track of the stock in their warehouse and fail to live up to what they promise. The help desk staff, while friendly enough, were also kind of useless, and just went through scripted points rather than actually listening to what I was telling them. It took them about 10 minutes to figure out what an email sent to me (the reason I called them) told me in the first place - that the item wasn't in stock. I had also called to check on the phone the day before, and was told that shipping would be fast tracked due to the delay, but apparently they hadn't realised the item wasn't actually at the warehouse at that stage. Overall, I'd say it's not worth the hassle, and go with one of the many other alternatives.
Wish I had seen this review before I placed an order with mobicity.co.nz ... I thought it was an NZ company, but no, order went to OZ ... had exactly the same problem as gemface ... they said I9506 was in stock so placed an order ... 10 days later and still waiting on the warehouse to pick the box up from a shelf and put in courier bag and post it ... so cancelled the order and they are now mucking me around to try and keep the order alive ... got the same fone from bricks & mortar store here in NZ ... ordered online and picked it up 1 hour later ... and $100 cheaper too ... don't waste your time with mobicity ... shop around ... gemface was being generous, I would only rate them 1 star and I will NOT shop with them again

No recommend , awful service, never use them again
A complete and utter waste of time. Waited 3 weeks for the item that was "In Stock, Fast Delivery". Telephone support were useless. No explanations given for the reason for the delays, only emails stating, "estimated time of arrival is end of next week". Ask why it takes so long to deliver a stocked item and you get told they are not able to contact their warehouse.

i got a tracking number and they told me to track my package 48 hours later. After 8 days, still can't track my item. What a fake tracking number? I call the courier company and they said it is a confirmation number, ((data only )) not a parcel they had no item to delivery, and they keep telling lies that my item is at warehouse and to be picked up by courier delivery (pretending like not their faults).? In stock item takes more than a month to be shipped? Don't fool your customers. Tell the truth if you guys run out of stock. Please avoid all this problems and avoid this company, get away from this supplier, NO RECOMMEND

Incredibly slow delivery, even if "in stock"
Bought an item that was "in stock, fast delivery". Three weeks later it hasn't even been sent yet. The item is still listed as in stock. The help desk doesn't know anything, says need to wait for an update from the warehouse (who they can't contact directly). Very frustrating!!
Placed an order on 7 April for a new handset still waiting. It is now 23 May and after numerous calls their responses of ' having problems tracking my order' doesn't sit nicely with me. $1000 purchase and they can't track the order?
Will cancel and request a full refund if I don't recieve news by end of the week. :(

Frauds
Ordered an in stock mobile phone 4 Sept to find out 10 days later phone was never in stock - they blamed a fault with their website. Fraudulently taking my payment of over $400. Many phone calls & emails later with promises of phone arriving at warehouse any day...26 days later we ask for a refund only to receive email after email from them offering inferior phones in place of phone we ordered or refund. Totally ripped off. Still waiting in my refund. Beware!!

Earvin will take your money
I ordered a Samsung S5 mini phone on 16/Sep/15. I believed them to be a partner of Amaysim since they had such a large section of Amaysim's website.

After numerous exchanges and excuses of "rush on orders" and "warehouse issues", still no phone after 6 weeks.

So I browsed their site to find a phone at the same price that might be in stock. I found one, a Samsung A5. While I was browsing, a chat popped up with "Can I help you". His name was Earvin.

So I gave him my order number and had him confirm the A5 was in stock and had him change the order. Two weeks later, still no shipping number, and no email or system update to confirm the change.

I suspect Earvin is the principal of MobiCity. The others who I spoke to in the first few weeks have probably lost their job. But Earvin was still prepared to chat and take my money whilst trading insolvent.

I'm out of pocket by $460.
