Buy books online from Fishpond.com.au, Australias best online book store. We sell lots of new and used books, music and movies online at discount pricesBooks. Australia - It's shopping made easy.
I bought here because the price was a little cheaper. No information given, package was so so slow for Australia. Not impressed. Will not be shopping here again.
I ordered "Art of the Start" from Fishpond. The prices on the site appear as though they've been discounted heavily, but only after I ordered it, I noticed Amazon was actually selling it cheaper. So was Book Depository. Shipping took about 2 weeks.
Fishpond have an automatic partial refund system where they refund you the difference in prices if Amazon is cheaper, but this only returned a few cents back to me.
Still cheaper than bricks & mortar shops, but I probably wouldn't buy from Fishpond anymore.
I discovered Fishpond when a sports powder I normally buy was no longer available locally. I was pleased to see they offer Free Shipping but noticed the prices a little higher and it ships from a US supplier. The website ordering process was easy but I had to sign up as a member. I was regularly updated via email as to the status of order and I received the item 12 business days after ordering. I would recommend for hard to source items but I wouldn't recommend if you need something quickly.
I bought 'Killing Floor' from the Jack Reacher series from Fishpond! Fishpond have a great range of books for kids as well as adults and all prices are cheaper than what you would find at a local bookstore. Shipping is FREE which is great, however, shipping can take some time. The book took about 3 weeks to arrive at my house.
I bought some personal items and a wooden spice rack from Fishpond.com.
These shipped from the UK, and the postage was super slow to initiate - I kept checking the order and it would say that they were 'on their way to our warehouse': not even shipped yet!
But almost a month later, my order arrived and the spice rack is nicer than anything we looked at in stores or on ebay.
So, if you're not in a hurry, I definitely recommend Fishpond. Some things are easy to wait for and this order was worth it!
I managed to purchase my university textbook (Employment Relations) for much cheaper (saved roughly $20) than any other retail book shops or online shops. The website is user-friendly and easy to use and they offer free standard shipping which takes roughly 2 weeks.
