Play Asia is an online game and merchandise store with a specialty in rare and foreign video games.
The website layout is well presented and easy to navigate. Sales and recommended products are displayed throughout the website. If you are looking for a rare or foreign game then there is a good chance that Play Asia stocks it however prices on common games are not always the most competitive. Be aware that shipping does cost and in past experience has been extremely lengthy. A game (Resonance of Fate) purchased in August took about two months to arrive.
Overall, Play Asia is a good service for finding gaming products that you may not be able to find locally however other stores may be a better option for low prices or faster delivery.
The Play Asia website is easy to use. All the latest games etc, at much lower prices than your retail stores.
There are two delivery options - standard or 'hidden' (for slightly extra) so that the postman or whoever else, won't know you're getting a game delivered.
I placed my order and it was dispatched the same day.
For whatever reason I didn't receive it for another 10 days but maybe that's the postman's fault.
I love playing xbox games. I hate paying retail. I never really knew about any alternatives to retail for video games until I came across Play Asia (and also OZ GAME SHOP). I was a bit sceptical but I heard reasonable reviews from friends. Play Asia haven't let me down yet.
I bought Call Of Duty Black Ops as an xmas gift. I didn't really buy it in time to get here before xmas, but that didn't matter. Game arrived in 4 weeks (which is standard for international delivery). Usually takes 2-4 weeks for games to arrive in my experience.
The game version was PAL so worked perfectly fine. Saved myself $40 from retail.
I purchased a music book Final Fantasy XIII: Piano Collections for approx. $40 and shipping was ridiculous at ~$20 (as a birthday gift for a friend. It arrived 2 days after the birthday though - terribly slow).
The package arrived on the 29th, Australia Post had opened it for quarantine (!). However, it was packaged with peanuts and arrived safely as I paid a bit extra for registered post.
I think the price of their products is reasonable, shipping is nasty though.
It is unlikely that I will be back unless looking for a specific item hard to locate elsewhere.
