I purchased, or so I thought, an OM-D EM5 online in mid July and waited for delivery... a week later I enquired where my order was and they informed me it was on backorder with the supplier. A further 3 weeks later I received a one line email to say the backorder would not be filled and to contact them. Contact them? Why was no one calling me to explain and try and resolve the problem. I asked if they could offer a comparable model or a discount on a similar camera and all I got was "Would you like us to arrange a refund as there would be a significant price difference to change to the E-M5 II" and when I asked again.. "I can offer a discount on a new E-M5 II but there is such a price difference between it and the Elite you had ordered, what kind of price would you be happy with ?" So after waiting a month, not having the camera I expected in time for my long awaited overseas trip I got nothing that resembles customer service. Now I have to see if I do get the refund...
I ordered a Nissin flash from Digidirect and was told delivery would be in 3-5 days. Admittedly it was over Christmas and expected some delays. However after several email enquiries I was told three weeks after the order that they were out of stock. I asked for a PayPal refund and received it in minutes. Maybe I shouldn't have panicked but it would have been nice to have been told of the stock situation on order.
I ordered a black Polaroid 300 and a 10 pack of film off Digi direct. I received the camera after 5 days. The website is set up for easy customer navigation and it was pretty quick and easy to checkout. Warranty for the camera is 1 year which is reasonable. The Polaroid 300 was $98 and the film $19 which overall was less hassle and cheaper than buying in store.
Ordered a lens when they had a 10% off sale. The lens was a really good price for an Australia stock. Was very pleased with the order. I selected pick up from Melbourne to save a couple of dollars from shipping.
I got 1 confirmation that the order was received right after paying. However had to wait another 3 days for them to change the status to processing.
After that I didn't hear from anyone. I contacted them via their telephone contact details, and was told that there would be about a 2 week wait. I thought that was reasonable.
I waited the time provided and emailed them for an update. I didn't get any response!
I had to recall them for an update. they told me that it would be potentially 1 month wait time, before they had any indication if the product would be shipped to Australia.
I asked if i could cancel my order. They were very willing to refund my money. I sent them an email with the request to have refunds and got the money the same day.
I guess if the lens was in stock, it would have been a really good experience. Real issue was the lack of updates provided and required me to chasing up every 2 weeks for an update...
Bought a Nikon coolpix S6300 that had arrived earlier than expected. I got it at an excellent price with full warranty, and their staff were helpful with my questions. Enjoying my new camera so far!

I would avoid DigiDirect.
