You know what? No matter how good a store's stock is, I'm never going to be a regular customer if they don't allow me to return items for a full refund. Giving credit notes is in poor taste.
I ordered the Ocean Breeze top by Mink Pink. In that brand, I am a 12-14, although usually a 12, because MP runs small. Imagine my surprise when the 12 I ordered was too large!(I am definitely not a size 10, because-ahem-boobs)
So I returned the top (which cost $11 with tracking!) and was able to receive a full refund because the sizing was so off.
But it got me thinking: what if the top simply hadn't suited me? I would have been stuck with a credit note. I hate the idea of buying from online stores with rigid returns policies... Online, you look at a few pictures, and try and imagine what it might look like on you, then you click a button and bam. You're stuck with it without even setting eyes on it.
So although the customer service was good, I don't think I will be buying from Princess Polly again, not while there are places that allow you to return items if they don't suit you.
Minkpink doesn't run small it always runs larger actually. Im a size 10 and always order the small from their brand. So if you are a 12 normally you would 100% be a size 10 in their clothing. Don't buy online if you are expecting a full refund!
What a bizarrely aggressive comment! I have bought heaps of minkpink stuff. Maybe their sizing is changing, but for the last few years I and my friends have had to size up. It's cool that you have a different experience, but this has been mine. I buy online once a week to once a fortnight, and I no longer shop at princess Polly because there are so many fantastic stores which let me return goods for a refund if they don't fit, or even if they just don't suit. Not sure why I shouldn't 'buy online'. Money talks, and I spendibe at stores that care enough about their customers that they make online shopping an easy experience. If you can return the wrong thing you're sure to end up with the right thing. :)
