I have purchased items from this company before, and without major issues.
Two months ago I purchased a hand-held vacuum cleaner which never arrived. "No biggie," I thought to myself, "just get in touch with Deals Direct and they'll look into it."
That was when I discovered that their website is actually designed in such a way that it's almost impossible to find out how to contact them in any meaningful way. The only method that's easy to see is Live Chat (or Live Bad Joke, it should be named).
Three attempts at this (fob-offs), two emails, and five weeks later after a grand total of *zero* information from Deals Direct, I finally get an actual human being on the phone but the asian accent is so thick that I should have had an interpreter handy.
I did receive satisfaction on that occasion but only after *twice* stating that I was writing an official letter of complaint and demanding to know the name of their Customer Service manager so I could address the letter appropriately.

Rug was not that good, but when I purchased it Deals had on their website a bonus offer "Spend over $50 and receive a Bonus Voucher Booklet valued at $30"... my rug was way over $100 and got NO BOOKLET!! After placing the order I did a live chat with Deals to get confirmation of this promotion, I still have a copy of the conversation, they assured me that I would receive the booklet with my order when delivered. Well, my order arrived today with No Booklet, I've spoken to them on the phone, mind you having to argue my point across as they asked me "did you get a copy of the page with the promotion?", I couldn't believe my ears!
After telling them it's not the customers job to keep track/copy of their promotions, they said they'll call me back..Am now waiting, waiting, waiting. I won't be buying from them and don't recommend them to anyone, as for their "Promotions or Bonus Offers" full of crap!!
i just got ripped off. i ordered 2 wardrobes and made a payment($340) for items and delivery on 23/06/14. expected delivery date was 25/06/14. 2-5 working days maximum. i called them up after 5 working days and was told that they will check with delivery team and will send an email the next day which i never received. i called them up more than 10 times and was told the same thing. now it been 18 days.. this morning i received an email saying " Hi,
I was advised by our supervisor that our courier company confirmed that the item is Lost in Transit. Unfortunately this order is not covered by our Transit Care Insurance, We can no longer process any replacement or refund. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you
DealsDirect Regards, "
so now they basically told me that i have lost my item worth $340 which i never even got to see. it sounds funny but i am so angry about this. just lost my one week's pay as i work part time.
would not recommend to anyone. its a ripoff
I do not even doubt that. They would of never sent it, just trying to scam you the money. They just did it to me.
NewPlaceLotsOfBuyin would not shop at Deals Direct again.
There website seeking help is terrible!!
I bought a clock from them, it came pretty quick but there is something wrong with it.
Today I've been trying to contact them online, you go on there live chat, nothing!! No ones there!! Then you send a email to them, no reply yet!! This is there returns policy
"It's easy to lodge a return request of a faulty or damaged item or submit an email ticket!
Simply enter your login details again (see below the Home Tab), and select Login.
Click on Returns Centre and follow the prompts OR
Click Submit a Ticket to email us!"
You know the problem with this is? It's REALLY hard to find the "Returns centre" link, its not on the above paragraph, Why wouldn't you have it there as a link and instead go look for it?
I will update to see what happens but whats the chances i have to call them?
I haven't shopped with deals direct for a number of years but the process was still simple and easy. Shipping cost was reasonable and they offer easy returns for change of mind purchases within 14 days. I currently use the chiroflow pillow but I read reviews to suggest the mediflow pillow is just as good so I'm giving it a go! Plus it is significantly cheaper.
Quick shipping times, no communication regarding delivery
Ordered a few umbrellas from DD due to the horrendous wet Sydney weather we'd been experiencing.
My order was marked as confirmed the same day. Shipping to my area was only $4.95 and i believe if you purchase multiple items the shipping charge is combined
I never received any further communication regarding my order, and i arrived home one day (4 days later) to find that my order had been delivered.
In terms of shipping times, very happy! In terms of communication, not so good (as i had no idea about the status of my order/no tracking). But it was good to be surprised with a package once i returned home.
Overall, can't complain about my purchase since it did arrive and arrived quite quickly. Just sometimes, you like to know when your item is shipped/when you may expect it/be able to track your order/etc.
Nevertheless, based on this purchase, would buy from Deals Direct again!
