I bought a Ray Ban Wayfarer for a friends birthday. The delivery time was said to be 5-11 days but I didn't get it until about 2 weeks later, and even missed the friends birthday. This is very disappointing as I also had to pay $20 compulsory shipping and express courier was apparently used .
The product was in good condition though, my friend was very happy with it. It came in its original packaging as well as a little screw driver and lens cleaner. The actual Ray Ban itself is reasonably priced and is lower than retail stores. The customer service was good, even though the shipping took time, I received e-mails to keep me updated on the situation.
I bought a pair of sunglasses from these guys and it took a while (two weeks approx.) for them to inform me that they had no stock in those pair of glasses. So, I decided to get a pair that was available, which was the Rayban RB2132 and there was a delay of about an extra 3 weeks. The glasses were very flimsy and very fake looking.
When I had called them about these problems, their staff were very rude and didn't even care about my problem.
I would never consider shopping from this shop ever again.
I placed an order with Vision Direct on 25 April 2013 for a pair of Jackie Ohh Rayban Sunglasses (non-prescription). The website is fairly easy to use, so had no trouble with ordering.
On 27 April I received an email notifying me that my order is in stock at the Ray Ban distributors logistics centre and is preparing for dispatch to Vision Directs warehouse.
And then...I heard nothing. The website specified that dispatch time on these glasses was 5-11 working days, so 16 days after ordering I emailed their Customer Support Team on 17 May. I received immediate acknowledgement of my contact, however did not receive a response until 20 May.
The Customer Support Officer informed me that I was in luck that after he checked my order, it had been dispatched on 20 May via courier, and that I would receive another email with a tracking number to confirm. I did not receive this email with a tracking number.
On 21 May I received another email form the Customer Support Team, this time informing me there had been a further delay with my order, and that they estimate it will be another 5-11 days until my order is fulfilled. They offered a 5% refund as incentive to keep my order.
I wrote back to them expressing my confusion as to the intent of their two different emails (from the same person, mind you!), however, on 22 May I received my sunglasses!
This is well over the expected delivery time, and I am somewhat dissatisfied with the confusing customer service. I don't think I will purchase from them again (..if only I had read about them on estorereview.com.au before I placed my order!)
GertudePerskins would not shop at Vision Direct again.
Only want your Money
Order a pair of prescription glasses beginning of May, with an estimated 2 week turnaround period. Despite the website saying everything was fine, end of May still didn't have my new glasses.
Contacted Vision Direct only to be told that my prescription could not be fulfilled. (Why did they not contact me earlier, or better identify this when processing the order?).
I was then offered a refund. It is now going on 4 weeks since the refund was offered (and 3 months since I ordered my glasses) and I have NEITHER my glasses or Money.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.
Dear Customer,
Thanks for contacting us.
I am sorry to hear that you have not received your order due a prescription issue and have not received our update emails. I will double check this with IT to ensure that will not happen in the future.
Regarding your refund, it may take up to 10 working days, depends on the payment provider. If this is not the case, please, contact us at servicemanager@visiondirect.com.au with your order details, I will make sure that the issue will be resolved as soon as possible.
Once again, our apologies on this matter and thanks for your time and patience.
I ordered Tom Ford prescription glasses ,and only found out they were discontinued after paying and only by checking order status .These frames are still being advertised on their site ,they have my money and say it will take 5 days to credit my visa account, by which time they have had my money for nearly 3 weeks . is this how they make money by advertising products that are not in stock . they actually chased me for the prescription and at no time told me they couldn't supply
