I am actually an advocate for country road and really enjoyed my past online experiences with them. This time i received a card notifying me of a sale, where as a card holder, i would be able to get another 25% off the already reduced price.
Its hard to find time to get in store, so i thought I'll try the online option. I put my orders through and payment was accepted.
It was a bit strange, as normally they ship really quickly with email notifications along the way. However this time i didn't receive any notifications until about 1 week later saying that there was an error with their system and that they could not fulfill parts of my order. The email did not say which items or any word of giving back my money.
I receive another email with a link to my purchase highlighting which items would not be fulfilled. To my surprise it was most of the items. Around 80% of my items were not available.
I received a third email saying that they would give me 25% off all items online, but all the sales items were already gone. It was a good gesture, but this offer would expire in 2 days. What a slap in my face!
I actually complained about this stuff up and they said they could extend the 25% off until the 1st of April and give me free shipping on my next order. Nice, but i know a couple of stores that actually provide gift vouchers for their mistakes. Maybe I'm just too upset or greedy.
The items that they did have in stock came in 8 days. I had a look at their Facebook page after, and found quite a few people were affected by this issue.
Would i purchase again from them, yes probably. Would I purchase sales items online, probably not.
