Asos trumps all other online fashion stores in many ways. The simple range and variety of the labels and styles on offer are, at times, daunting - there are few moments when one cannot find all that they are looking for simply at Asos. Secondly, the value for money, especially with their in-house brand, is fantastic and they do a great range of basics in fantastic fits. Finally, the free postage to anywhere in the world truly does make this the most international online wardrobe. Whilst, the standard delivery can be lengthy to certain corners of the globe, you simply can't go past the value. The return policy is generous and the ability to send it to an australian return center is greatly appreciated. My only, very slight, qualm is the cost of the express postage which always seem too much to justify the reduced time.
I bought a tartan skater dress from ASOS last year. The quality wasn't great and the dress was somewhat lopsided. It was also somewhat small for a standard size. However, once I had made the customer service department aware of the problem, they offered me a full refund, without me even having to muck around sending the dress back! I was very impressed and may shop there again.
I bought an Asos skinny fit suit/ jacket in black size 38" for my boyfriend. The cost was only $115.29 and delivery was free. I love ASOS because they do free shipping and they are a very professional and easy site to use. The delivery took 9 days which they specified and I was provided a tracking number as well. I wanted the items to come via express shipping because some of them were for a wedding over the weekend. When I confirmed the order though, I realised I forgot to ask for express. I emailed ASOS straight away to tell them about my mistake. I got an automated email back immediately informing me my order could not be changed. After chasing them about my issue I got a response back the next day saying they would try to move my order to express. I still was unsure if I would get the delivery in time so it was a bit stressful for me and in the end the delivery arrived the week after. I think there was some confusion and it was my fault for not clicking express in the first place, however I am disappointed more could not be done to express my item to me as I had requested desperately via email.
ASOS provides student discounts on their products. As a student myself i was enticed by that. I purchased various pieces of clothing from their site at a great price. The shipping was extremely fast and arrived within 5 days! The quality of clothing would depend. Some are great and some are fairly poor. I purchased a cardigan which was too big for me and ASOS provided me with a hassle-free refund (just for the cardigan, had to pay for shipping fee myself).
ASOS is massive, so many brands come together to create a wonderful outlet of threads which I enjoy browsing. Sizing is a bit difficult to deal with but that has become simplified with the ASOS size tape, it definitely comes in handy.
I bought a dress with quite a fitted top, measured my bust to get a reading of size 12, ordered in 12 but wish I had sized up as my bits are a bit 'pow' in your face. But I guess that's my error due to inexperience. I should have returned but got lazy with it, I couldn't be bothered buying a post bag to send it back so I'm still working with it (the dress).
My order arrived within a reasonable time frame of about one week and a couple of days. It arrived in a flimsy-feeling bag but since it survived the flight, it was reasonably strong. The dress didn't get damaged so all is well.
The prices are fair, sale prices even greater. I love my purchase and have since re-visited and recommend this site for clothing, footwear, accessories and beauty products cheaper to get online than on Australian shelves.
