Excellent (trackable) international shipping times, with some good prices
Having failed to successfully buy a bluetooth speaker unit from another e-tailer, i found that ValueBasket had the same item at a slightly higher price. As i was keen for the speakers, i decided to commit and make the purchase so as to not miss out a second time. Delivery was free. i was slightly hesitant as this was my first purchase with them, but my want for the speaker overrode any concerns.
My order was confirmed via email the same day, with my item being dispatched with trackable shipping the next day. 4 days later, my item arrived - less than a week from purchase to delivery! despite being shipped internationally from Hong Kong, the delivery times match, if not better, local delivery times
Another benefit seems to be that ValueBasket offers up to 3 years warranty (havent looked into the T&Cs of this yet - hopefully won't have the need!) and a wide range of payment options.
Speakers are great too.
Based on this purchase experience, i would have no issue to buy from ValueBasket again
This company does not abide by consumer law and lies to it's customers. The 'money back guarantee' is FALSE.
I wanted to buy a Parrot Beebop drone for my husband for his birthday. Valuebasket assured me that the item was in stock and that I would have it within 2-5 working days.
This was great as I was going overseas within the fortnight so didn't want it to arrive whilst I wasn't here. This was also the reason why I bought the item online, from this company rather than from Harvey NOrman, who could not guarantee delivery within 2-5 days.
The item DID NOT arrive within 2-5 working days. In fact, it took WEEKS.
It was then faulty.
Under the 'money back guarantee' I applied to receive a full refund.
After many weeks, I was finally told that I would get my refund MINUS 25% BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE PACKAGING WAS DAMAGED.
I have photos of the packaging before it left my house - IT WAS NOT DAMAGED IN ANY WAY...
Furthermore, under Australian consumer law, I DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO PROVIDE THE PACKAGING IN ORDER TO GET A FULL REFUND.
The company told me that they do not abide by Australian Consumer law, but rather by HK laws.
THIS IS ALSO WRONG - IF THEY ARE SELLING TO AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS, THEY MUST ABIDE BY OUR CONSUMER LAWS.
DO NOT SHOP ON THIS SITE
My experience was a disaster from beginning to end!
I purchased a iPhone dock from VB, 11months back only to find it was defective. They were quick to take it back and claimed they had sent me a replacement. 2 months later, no refund, no replacement, not even a call back from head office despite numours calls and emails.
I have now filed a complaint with the ACCC and will also do so with HK consumer council. I encourage others who are in a similar position to do the same!
There are numours anti VB websites, FB pages and unhappy customers everywhere that all have same scam/fraud stories...wish I had known 11months back!

We ordered 2 Samsung S4 mini smart phones that were supposedly in stock. 20 days later after many excuses, promises of upgraded delivery and free gifts, the phones were no closer to being delivered. We have cancelled the order and await the refund. More later if the refund takes longer than 3 days as per their website.
Agree with these reviews 100%.....Valuebasket are to be avoided like the plague!!! I paid them £199.99 for a Nikon SB 700 flash. After 6 weeks (and many emails from me ) the flash did not arrive. I demanded a refund and was assured that I would have my money back within 2-4 days. That was over a month ago and no refund has been made. Put simply ..... Valuebasket STOLE my money. Check out other online review sites about this company, there are literally hundreds if not thousands of people who have had exactly the same experience as me. Valuebasket are FRAUDLENT!!!!!
I ordered a pair of jaybird blue bud earphones at the start of September as the website said there were 5 in stock in white and 2 in stock in black.. In the first week I kept returning to the website as the status of my order was 'not paid' however my credit card statement said I had paid for it. The website insisted that I had not paid for ithe item but I held my ground as the funds had already came out of my credit card. A week later they finally told me that the item had been paid for. I waited for the earphones to be delivered and three weeks later they still had not shipped the item. I continually checked the website and it kept showing that they had many of the earphones in stock. To make matters worse when I originally purchased the earphones they cost 169, 4 weeks later (and I still had not received the item) the product went on sale to 159. Worst Internet purchase experience I have had. Still don't have my product and don't know if I'll get it. Warn future shoppers to stay clear
