23 days for my order to arrive from a third party. Not the greatest experience
Ordered a WiiU game to be delivered. i had the choice of in store pickup or to have it delivered, with a wide range of payment options. for my purchase, both options were free, so i chose to have it delivered for the convenience
i was sent an invoice the same day and not long after, my order was marked as shipped - there were no further order details nor tracking details
a week later, not having received my item, i decided to call their help centre to enquire about my order. i was told to wait up to 12 days to allow for my order to arrive, and if it had not done so by then, i could call up again
12 days later, still no delivery, so i called again. as Big W had not sold me the game (seems they were selling the game on behalf of a third party), they advised me that they would follow up on my order for me. i was also offered the choice of a refund, but i preferred to have my game.
several days later i received an email from Big W on behalf of the company stating to please allow up to a total of 20 days for my item to arrive, due to Australia Post delays, and if i still had not received my item by a specified date, to call the company
again, my item did not arrive by the specified date, so i called the number provided. no-one answered my calls, despite calling on numerous occasions at different times, so i left a message.
happily, i did receive an unexpected follow up call and the representative arranged for a replacement item to be sent to be via Express Post.
My game finally arrived the next day.
Overall, although i did receive my game in the end, i found the whole process quite disatisfactory and somewhat frustrating. being told that i would have to wait over 20 days for "local delivery" is very poor and the lack of tracking also proved an issue
i'm not sure i would buy from Big W again, but i guess i cant hold them at fault, as they were selling on behalf of a third party. i can't recommend them, but also can't fault them. i'm sitting on the fence for this one
