On the 16th of January, I had ordered a My Little Pony book from this online store, simply because they offered free shipping and because it was the store that offered the lowest price on this book. On the website, they had said that the book would be dispatched within 48 working hours and that they would send me a confirmation email.
It did not take them 48 hours to dispatch this, it was more like 4 days. I emailed them on the 21st of January later enquire where my order was. On the day they had replied, the book had been dispatched (this was on the 22nd of January). They have quick service when they are dealing with complaints.
On the 1st of February, the book was delivered to me. The book was delivered in sturdy packaging material and I was quite satisfied. The shipping time was decent for the fact that it was free shipping.
Ordered the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Companion for myself and my partner. Price was far cheaper than any shop in Australia (about a third of the price.)
As usual, freight from the other side of the world was quick, ordered on boxing day and arriving the first week of the new year!
I have been using Book Depository for some years. They generally offer the cheapest prices on books an with free deliver. 99% of the time the books arrive at an alarming speed considering how far away they come from. However my most recent order (for 1 soft cover) which I placed in the middle of the Christmas rush, took about 3 weeks to arrive. It was posted 3 days after the order was placed so the delay would've been purely international postage hold up though so I am still very happy with their service.
Very good pricing on a wide range of books. Free shipping anywhere in the world, takes about 5 days to ship to Australia. Very impressed with the service! I have shopped here several times and will continue to use this site in the future.
Ordered two books for school – Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Shakespeare's Julius Caeser. For both books in total I paid just $6, and they have free worldwide shipping (cheap shipping to Australia is rare enough, free shipping is amazing!). The books arrived a week later in great condition. There's a great range of books for really cheap prices, would definitely use again.
With a huge range of books, free and timely delivery to Australia and fab prices makes Book Depository my first stop for print books. My last purchase was for an Interior Design book that retails in Australia for $80 and for which I paid $63 with delivery to my door. Not bad!
