Great experience with online order
Very surprised with how well Harvey Norman rep treated me.

Ordered two playstation move controllers and they gave me two boxes of the starter packs (including cameras). What a bargain!

The store rep called to ask if it is ok for them to ship one of the item from different store as they run out of stocks.

But they were sent together and quickly!

Very very happy with the service and value.

Great Service
I bought this as a gift and they handled delivery and my request really really well!

The person i'm buying gift for would not normally accept any gifts from anyone, then I called harvey norman up asked if they can make me anonymous.

They told me it should be fine and my name would not be written anywhere :D

However, the plan still fails as the person realized that it was me... but that's not harvey norman's fault!

In regards to the delivery, they did not deliver it in the first go as no one was home. However, the next day the addressee called up and they told them she would pick them up. However, even before she has the chance to go to harvey norman, the goods is delivered safely in front of doorstep!

Easy to use website
Ordered Sandisk Cruzer 8G USB on special for $3.00 online. In store price $9.95.

Opted for the "Click and Collect" option and the order was ready to be picked up the next day.

Everything very easy and straight-forward. The only complaint would be there wasn't any signs or instructions of where to go for "Click and Collect" so I queued up at the check-out only to be told to go to the electronic department. Got the item and then had to queue at the check-out again.

Very slow shipping even for something small
Slow shipping for small things I ordered this dartboard for my husbands birthday which was on the 24/01 it did not arrive until 28/01 I rang customer service on the 22/01 they were very nice but not very helpful it shipped from NSW to WA it took 10 days I order my husbands darts from the uk on the same date and it arrived before 4 days before the dartboard- go figure

Easy online shopping
As my old laptop bag is getting old, I was looking at several alternatives.

It came out harvey norman had the best price and a decent looking laptop bag.

The online shopping process itself is pretty easy and another plus point is that you can do online purchase without paying any shipping fee when you can pick it up from any store.

The only thing I don't particularly like about Harvey Norman's online shopping is that they send you too many emails after the purchase.

Personally, I find this annoying as I have received 5 emails which are :
1.Email of my payment
2.Order confirmation
3.Notification of order collection
4.Tax Invoice
5.Rate item
6.Rate your online shopping experience

I believe the first 4 emails are pretty normal and straightforward, but I don't think sending 6 emails for purchase of one small item is still ok in this case.

Webstore not 100%, but good service and quick turnaround times
Ordered a small camera case, with pick up in store.

They have an online chat service, who can assist with enquiries. As i wasnt sure of the internal size of the case i asked for assistance (the website had dimensions but didnt specify if it was internal or external).

The dimensions on site and what i was advised by the assistant didnt match, so i was advised to go in store and check it out for myself. Not the greatest experience, but at least they tried.

My order was confirmed the same day and was notified via email that it was available to pick up from my selected store the same day. Excellent turnaround time. I picked it up in store the next day, only requiring my name and ID to pick it up.

There was a slight wait to pick it up, as there was only one assistant who was serving, but i wasnt in a rush.

Overall, a good experience, considering Harvey Norman is only starting to build and develop its online presence. Quick turn around time for my order to be prepared and available, which was great, but this may be store dependent.

Happy to purchase from Harvey Norman again.

Not so great pick up service
As I said in my previous review that I'd shop from here again, here's the proof! :)

I purchased an antivirus from Harvey Norman recently and to avoid shipping cost which is around $10, I've decided to try their pick up service.

For me it only took 2 days for them to prepare my purchase for the pick up.

5 days after I've received the email, I visited one the store I've chosen at the time of the purchase.

I approached the customer service desk and it took them more than 20 minutes to finally find my stuff; However, when I double checked my item, apparently they did not get the right one and when I told them which item I'm after they only opened the security packaging and let me go with it.

Although it does not affect my experience, I think Harvey Norman definitely needs to improve their staff training, facilities, or anything that has something to do with their online pick up service.
