I Purchased a Seagate 1 Tb portable HDD (new model) for $68.20 delivered (factory scoop),this is the 300 model so it is a little thicker then 301 model but it's still quiet compact in comparison.
The order process is quiet straight forward so i can't complain about that, the shipping confirmation didn't come through as quick as other orders i've placed with JB hifi but once it did come through the order was delivered within a couple of days.
I went online to find a CD (Paul Simon's So Beautiful or So What) for my mum- eBay was pricey and delivery would be long from overseas. No where else had it in stock at the time. Checked jbhifi.com.au- They had it in stock, it was cheap ($15.99 on sale!) and delivery was free! SOLD! Ordered Thursday Night, arrived on Tuesday :)
I've always been a fan of the JB Hi-Fi online store, as it often offers free shipping and reasonable prices for their products. On this occasion I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 2455LM 4.3" GPS Unit for $198. This was the best price I'd seen around for this product. I needed the product quite urgently and although their shipping times have been quite quick in the past I didn't want to risk it and decided to try out the Pick Up/Collection option instead. It's quite a neat little option they offer actually. After purchasing online and selecting the option and your nearest store, they send you an email within a couple of hours to advise that the item has been put aside for you and is ready for collection. You just go into the store with your printed collection receipt and some ID and they hand over the item to you. They even have an Online Collection point kiosk in the store, so that you don't have to wait in the same line as all the other customers. Quite a neat little option and great if you want to buy something bulky and want to avoid shipping times and queues instore.
Very cheap for Australian stock (Aussie packaging, ratings etc). Free shipping is good, order was split into multiple packages which is a nice bonus to get everything asap. Would use again
JB had a pricing error on a Lady Gaga shirt. It was $2.99 instead of $32.99.
Needless to say they ran out of the shirt, but in a goodwill gesture sent a tote bag of Lady Gaga instead and cancelled the original purchase price as well. That's good customer service.
I like the layout of the store. It is deliberately a bit messy like the stores themselves so it blends in well with the store branding. The surprising thing is, therefore, how easy it is to find what you're looking for. I can't think of another online store in Australia which does it so well.
