I bought here because the price was a little cheaper. No information given, package was so so slow for Australia. Not impressed. Will not be shopping here again.
I recently purchased a textbook for university from Fishpond (The Immune System by Peter Parham). It was the cheapest I had seen, roughly $40 cheaper than my university book store, even with student discount!
The site was easy to navigate and offers plenty of information on the product itself. You can track your order online and they also send email updates.
My book was dispatched one week after placing the order and took another 2 business days to be delivered, which was well before the expected delivery date. The book was packaged neatly in cardboard so it came undamaged, and shipping was free.
Overall, very happy with my experience with Fishpond :) Shipping time may be longer than some, but the huge discounts and free shipping totally make up for that.
Very low prices for all the books I've looked for. Especially considering that this is a local site and there are no overseas transaction fees (unlike other seemingly cheaper sites), it further sweetens the deal.
Delivery was a bit slow - about 2 weeks. And the packaging, thought it was padded, was a very tight fit which caused some slight damage to the corners of the book.

All shipping is free but as each item can come from a different supplier things may be shipped separately and take time to appear which is a little frustrating.
For example I recently bought four books and all came separately on different days across a period of 2 months.
One book did get lost but they are very good at offering refunds or resending the item. Overall I would say, if you don't need the items urgently you will find some excellent bargains and free shipping is always appreciated!
I managed to purchase my university textbook (Employment Relations) for much cheaper (saved roughly $20) than any other retail book shops or online shops. The website is user-friendly and easy to use and they offer free standard shipping which takes roughly 2 weeks.
