Still waiting - horrible service
Living in Brisbane, I ordered four games from Games Paradise on 28 November. After a couple of weeks, I noticed they had not been processed, so I sent an email asking about it, and heard nothing. I sent another one, and still nothing.
Then they put up a statement on their website saying that games ordered by 18 December (for Queenslanders) would arrive by Christmas Day, so I emailed them again. Still no reply, but I did get a notification saying all games had been sent. A couple of days later, two games did arrive. But by Christmas, the other two did not. I sent two more emails after Christmas, again neither of which have had a response.
I then rung them up on 7 January, and someone told me one game is not available, but the person who could help me was at lunch, and would call me back in half an hour. No call back, and when I tried again, they'd gone home. I then sent another email.
I'm still yet to receive any reponse. About half a dozen years ago I ordered games from this place, and the service was fast and efficient. But on the occasions I have shopped there since, it has got progressively worse, full of poor communication and hopeless customer assistance.
At the moment, they still have my money and I don't have everything I paid for, despite my account saying that all four games have been shipped. I have sent SIX emails without any response, and because of the limited hours they are open, I'm finding it hard to find an opportunity to ring them again.
The service is atrocious, and I'm at a loss at what to do. The only thing I can conclude is that they simply don't care about their customers, just as long as they get their money. They've certainly duped me.
I went into a Games Paradise to look for a really specific Dungeons and Dragons product. The store didn't have it, so they recommended I go online. I went online and found the product, ordered it and waited. Took nearly 2 weeks for the product to arrive. Bit of a disappointment.
Prices are in line with the store. Would probably not shop there as other stores deliver much quicker.

Terrible service. Stay away!
GP completely messed up my last order. I understand mistakes happen sometimes, but their lack of communication and inability to follow thru in correcting the problems made it worse.
1. When I placed my order, all items showed as In Stock. As it turned out, one of the items was actually on Back Order.
2. After a week of no shipping updates, I had to call them to find out why there was a delay. They should have contacted me as soon as they found an item was on back order.
3. I was promised that the rest of my order would be shipped immediately. This didn't happen until a few days later. When it did arrive, I found that another item was missing.
4. Their packaging consists of bubble wrap taped around the boxes, and shipped in a plastic shipping bag. Anyone who gets board games shipped knows that they should always be sent properly padded in cardboard boxes. Games can still be damaged in shipping when only bubble wrapped.
5. When the last part of my order finally arrived, I found they sent the wrong item.
6. I was promised they would send the correct item immediately. After not receiving it in the next week, I had to call again. The manager said it was shipped and they were trying to find the tracking numbers. When they finally sent the tracking numbers, I found that it was not shipped until after I called them about it. The manager who I was in contact with did not even have the courtesy to explain that it actually had not been sent when they said it would.
7. When I explained the the manager how terrible their service was, his response was that they do get "a lot of negative press", but that is part of the business. I'm sorry, but that is just poor business practice. Mistakes do happen, but they should be committed to resolving it and clearly communicate with the customer along the way.
