Dick Smith's online catalogue makes it very simple to see whether local stores have stock or not, prior to taking a trip specially to buy an item. In my case this is a 40m round trip, so it is well worth taking the time to check for stock availability online.
I had been looking for a Kindle Touch, and with Christmas coming up, and its impending withdrawal from sale, was having trouble locating one. I discovered via the online site that my local DSE store had some in stock, so using the Click and Collect feature, had one reserved until I could collect the following day.

Dick Smith offer an easy to use click and collect option that not only lets me pay online or in-store but lets me pay online using PayPal as well as a credit card, which is very handy.
I was able to place my order with PayPal quickly and easily and their website auto-filled most of my details from my PayPal account.
I received an email notification telling me my order had been placed and a PayPal receipt. However it took a fair while to say my order was ready for pickup, but I did receive an SMS and email.
Pickup was easy, just having to show the SMS or email (I showed the SMS) and no ID was required for a purchase under $100.
