Online smartphone store selling the best new, unlocked mobile phones in Australia. Review, compare and buy online. Fast delivery, full Australian warranty and support.
I purchased a phone that was clearly advertised as 'in stock' and delivered within 5-7 days.
I made sure to confirm with sales rep as the availability of item before purchase, she told me clearly it "it is available".
Not true!
My order has been in 'fulfillment a' for the last 4 days? in other words 'still processing'??? this was after my order being verified, confirmed and with their warehouse guys.
To put in other words, they didn't have the stock.
So why advertise that it is available then? and confirm availability? when you don't have it?
My purchase was to be used as a gift for my partner, but obviously thats not going to happen? and i will now have to quickly run out and find an alternative shop front and pay another $500 on top.
ALL THIS BECAUSE OF ONE STUPID MISLEADING STATEMENT - THAT YOUR ITEMS WAS 'IN STOCK' AND 'AVAILABLE'
Regretful and troubled purchase, stock levels are misleading, they just want to secure the sale and worry about it later.

My experience with MobiCity has thus far been VERY POOR, after ordering a phone and having it disappear in transit they have bounced me around for over 2 months. Although Toll Shipping has marked the parcel as lost, MobiCity is yet to acknowledge this and I still have no phone.
The little extra you pay to a local dealer ensures you receive your product and entitled service.
Annoyed by the customer service that is not helping just saying sorry and will send you when it's already shipped.
The items I ordered are in stock, fast delivery and also currently in stocked which means in their website ready to ship either at the same day or the next day.
In reality I have to wait for 12 days with the same status Pending Fulfillment A.
Honestly this is my second purchase. First one was a CAT phone and it was just fine I received it before Christmas. But now this 2014, their service is going down! Extremely bad communication, customer service Kimberly was not helping at all.
I am ordering phone battery and casing due to my mobile in bad condition and I need my order very soon. Now I am very unhappy!
Bought an item that was "in stock, fast delivery". Three weeks later it hasn't even been sent yet. The item is still listed as in stock. The help desk doesn't know anything, says need to wait for an update from the warehouse (who they can't contact directly). Very frustrating!!
Placed an order on 7 April for a new handset still waiting. It is now 23 May and after numerous calls their responses of ' having problems tracking my order' doesn't sit nicely with me. $1000 purchase and they can't track the order? Will cancel and request a full refund if I don't recieve news by end of the week. :(
I ordered an Xperia Z recently from Mobicity. The item was in stock when I ordered it, and was an 'open box' phone, so there was only one available anyway. Handling time was supposed to be 2-5 days, but after 8 it still hadn't been shipped. Contacted them and was informed the item was on back order and wasn't in stock at the warehouse (a bit strange for a one off 'open box' item that was marked as in stock when I ordered it). They could give me no ETA for delivery time, so I canceled my order. I now have to wait up to 5 business days for a refund to come through (assuming this time frame is more accurate than postage times) and am left without a phone until I can order one from somewhere else. One of the main reasons I even bothered with this company was the advertised postage and handling times, which where shorter than some of their competitors, but that isn't the case if they can't keep track of the stock in their warehouse and fail to live up to what they promise. The help desk staff, while friendly enough, were also kind of useless, and just went through scripted points rather than actually listening to what I was telling them. It took them about 10 minutes to figure out what an email sent to me (the reason I called them) told me in the first place - that the item wasn't in stock. I had also called to check on the phone the day before, and was told that shipping would be fast tracked due to the delay, but apparently they hadn't realised the item wasn't actually at the warehouse at that stage. Overall, I'd say it's not worth the hassle, and go with one of the many other alternatives.
Wish I had seen this review before I placed an order with mobicity.co.nz ... I thought it was an NZ company, but no, order went to OZ ... had exactly the same problem as gemface ... they said I9506 was in stock so placed an order ... 10 days later and still waiting on the warehouse to pick the box up from a shelf and put in courier bag and post it ... so cancelled the order and they are now mucking me around to try and keep the order alive ... got the same fone from bricks & mortar store here in NZ ... ordered online and picked it up 1 hour later ... and $100 cheaper too ... don't waste your time with mobicity ... shop around ... gemface was being generous, I would only rate them 1 star and I will NOT shop with them again
I ordered an iphone 5 on Wdenesday 20 June '14 and to my surprise it was delivered on Monday morning. A brand new in the box iPhone 5. I could not be happier it is a great phone and excellent service even though some of the reviews were negative I have had a great experience with this supplier. Kenneth
Great service and warranty, though slightly slow to arrive
MobiCity were the first online store to stock the excellent new Nokia 808 41 megapixel camera-phone in red that I wanted and bought from them the day it was available.
Though a few other online stores sold the phone for cheaper, researching online found Mobicity had a better reputation and service than them and came with a full 12 months Australian warranty, which was a important and better than having to send it abroad for warranty as the other greymarket online stockists at the time offered.
Mobicity's service, communication and packaging were excellent, the only downside I found was that their webstore listed the phone as 'in stock' and I assumed this was in Australia, but this proved to be in stock in their Hong Kong warehouse and international postage took longer than I guestimated/hoped having to wait (they took 2 working days to send it and it took 6 days in international post, arriving 10 days after I ordered it). Overall pleased and would recommend them though.
