My recently purchased iphone developed a problem, requiring repairs under warranty. Having seen my daughter having to wait several months for a replacement phone on hers not long ago at a local store, I REALLY didn't want to go through them with mine, so after a bit of hunting around, found that I could mail it direct to Apple, at no cost to me for postage.
They say that your phone (or any other Apple device) will be returned to you within 7 working days of them receiving it. The slowest part of the whole transaction was getting Aust Post to actually deliver it to them in the first place (this took them over a week.) As soon as Apple received it though I was notified, and had a replacement phone delivered to me less than a week later.
I would highly recommend this service to anyone who does not have access to an Apple store. The 'Authorised Agents' seem to be a bit hit and miss.
JacobLukeWood would shop at Apple Australia again.
Snow Leopard DVD
Went into JB HiFi to get the Snow Leopard DVD to upgrade mum's iMac from Leopard to Snow Leopard, turns out they don't sell it anymore! Apple Store Online here I come, I was happy to find out my $21 purchase came with free shipping (I think it is storewide?) anyway, the checkout was easy and user friendly. Highly recommend the Apple Online Store, item arrived today (Wednesday) from Sydney in an eParcel bag (non-padded) so the box was a bit dinted, the items were fine though but the bag was strangely oversized for what was in it!! Prompt emails too.
I was looking for a Monster IBeats Headphone and searched for stores that can deliver quickly as it was for a birthday present (As usual, I left it to the last minute). I compared all online stores that had the product, yet I found only Apple Online Store can give me the assurance that it will arrive on time. And it did!
I ordered it at the 4th evening (9pm), it was shipped the next day (5th) and I received it on the 6th around 9am. So quick and punctual!
It was quite a nerve-wrecking moment since I needed the item in such a hurry and all these delivery and shipping service are sometimes unreliable. But I have to say that Apple made my day as their tracking system always updated me, and there was no charge as well for the priority shipping.
The Item was also great! My friend had no complaints!
iheartpaganini would shop at Apple Australia again.
very good service
Pre-ordered my iPad mini when it's just first launch. Although delivery took around 1 month, Apple always send update to my email so we know when to expect the delivery. Always love dealing with Apple! Professional service and they have never made customer felt lost with the order. Typing this with my iPad mini now :-)
When my old rugged Alienware laptop broke last year, I decided to make the jump and switch to mac for the first time: the latest MacBook Air. The apple store is especially friendly in navigating through the student discounts as it displays an entirely new website and the savings are fairly generous. Compared to mac products sold at retail outlets, the prices were competitive, however, whether you are truly getting your moneys worth is a different question. The service upon buying was top notch and I was able to check the status of my order as it progressed. The turn around was a bit slower than I would of hoped, however, once the order had been despatched it arrived extremely quickly. The included warranty, albeit short, is comprehensive and generous. Overall, I'm still happy with my mac and am writing this review on it!
The product: I made the switch from PC to Mac, and it was a very easy transition. The laptop operates perfectly and has a long battery life.
The website: I am familiar with the website as I have purchased from it before, and it was very easy for me to use. Selecting and customising my product was simple, and a number of payment options were available. One technicality is that the education pricing is on a separate website to regular-priced products.
The shipping: Arrived in 4 days by courier, packaged well. The delivery person asked for a signature which I appreciated.
The price: The product cost $1,219.00 and came with a free $100 Gift Card. It was marginally cheaper than any Mac I could find at other stores.
Customer Service: I had a question about pricing and the customer service operator who answered my call was polite. She answered my question and made sure I didn't have any further ones.
Warranty: A free 1-year warranty was provided with the product.
I bought my Macbook Pro 13" last year with extended warranty and other adjustments to the specs. The product came within a week and I've been using it ever since. Shipping, Warranty and Pricing is good but I can't stress how good the Customer Service is. If I ever have any troubles I can call or head to the nearest Apple Store for any assistance and the Employees are there to help. Take my word for it, Apple Australia is the way to go.
