I work in online customer service and I personally find Sportsgirl's to be quite sloppy at this point in time. I emailed almost three weeks ago now and still haven't received a reply. I understand there were a lot of public holidays but I think that's no excuse since my company arranged to have at least a few of us online customer service staff work remotely over the break and so did Lorna Jane as well. If other companies can think like that, Sportsgirl has no excuse. They're just very behind the game.
So here's the story: I received a gift card for Christmas and was hoping to purchase some items online to only discover at checkout that I can't use gift cards online. I think it is quite ridiculous since many stores let you use their gift cards online. Sportsgirl is really behind on their game in this too. I then went to a store to try to purchase my items but found they didn't have any of the items I wanted. I proceeded then to email and enquire about which stores near me may have the items and still nothing.
I'm very unhappy about this and would like someone to reply to my query. Your instore staff are lovely but I don't understand why you can't offer the same service online?
I normally check my emails received from sportsgirl as there are sometimes flash sales on popular items.
I searched the website for any good deals of current trends - college girl look.
I found two items in the flash sale section and placed an order for the followings:
x1 Sequin stripe sweat XXS blue $34.98 x1 oversized dress shirt size 6 stripe white $39.95 Total $74.93 These were sale price from $80.
I thought this was a bargin!
Plus free shipping on overs over $50! that was a bonus.
I received the items in 2 days and it was wrapped in plastic plus free sportsgirl tote - this was handy to use to carry around and with a well printed receipt for purchase.
I was a very happy customer and would buy from again!
I recently ordered a pair of silver sandals (Erica sandals) from sportsgirl.com.au.
They were so gorgeous and my housemates were a little jealous! They were only $60 and because of Sportsgirl's shipping policies I got ****FREEE SHIPPING!!****
As anyone who's read my reviews might know, I don't like to pay for shipping. It seems ridiculous to pay for it, when shops save money on floor space and customer service staff by having online shopping.
Sportsgirl always has the best accessories and shoes. I love my new sandals and I'll definitely shop from Sportsgirl again!
I find that the accessories from Sportsgirl can be very inconsistent; some are awesome, some arrive looking a bit average. The bags were both a bit underwhelming, but the stockings were awesome and I loved them, literally to bits.
I brought the bags back for return in store, and the easy return was such a great incentive.
With such great, eclectic items available, and such easy returns, I absolutely recommend Sportsgirl!
Sportsgirl's website is fantastic for tracking stock that has sold out instore. I must say that I find the viewing option to be a bit sore on the eyes (you have to hover over an item to see the price in a flash style viewer) but the products and range are great.
I ordered some tights and a laptop decal. The former was out of stock but immediately refunded. I even received some great freebies (a makeup case and nail file worth $15). What great service!
