I ordered a laptop lapdesk and USB charger, arranging to pickup at my closest store with stock.
I received a call a few days later from the store to notify me that the USB charger was not in stock. i was offered the opportunity to wait until stock came, to arrange pick up at another store showing stock or to be refunded the item.
I said i was happy to wait. A few more days later, i was called again to notify me that the supplier no longer supplied the item, so that they would arrange pickup at the other store and that they would call me back once it was all arranged.
After a week after hearing nothing, i called back to find out the situation. I was informed they were waiting on a response from the other store, authorising a transfer pickup and that they would contact me once it was done.
After 2 weeks, i was still not contacted so i called again. I was told that the store still had not replied. After another week of waiting i called back again and this time i was told the store did not have stock, and that i would be refunded the item and that i could pick up my lapdesk.
As i was busy with work, i was unable to pickup my item straight away. While away on travel, i received a notification that i had been refunded for my entire purchase - they had cancelled my entire order, without contacting me or waiting for me to pick up my item.
I decided not to bother contacting them after such unprofessional service and spent my money elsewhere.
Admittedly, this experience would most likely be store dependent, but my rating is based on this particular purchase.
Poor service and communication. Didnt refund postage cost
I ordered a Kobo online and paid extra to have it delivered.
I received an email confirming my order and that it had been allocated to a store.
One week later i still had not received any information regarding my purchase, so i rang the store. the staff stated that they did not have any stock available. They stated they would send it out once it arrived.
The following week, as i was in the area to the store, i decided to drop in and enquire about the stock. (Un)surprisingly, there was stock.
Since i was in store, i asked could i pick it up that day, which i could, but they would not refund me the postage costs.
Pretty poor service and not happy that they would not refund me the postage cost. the price was average compared to other retailers - so i'm likely to buy from other retailers before the good guys again
