Poor service and communication. Didnt refund postage cost
I ordered a Kobo online and paid extra to have it delivered.
I received an email confirming my order and that it had been allocated to a store.
One week later i still had not received any information regarding my purchase, so i rang the store. the staff stated that they did not have any stock available. They stated they would send it out once it arrived.
The following week, as i was in the area to the store, i decided to drop in and enquire about the stock. (Un)surprisingly, there was stock.
Since i was in store, i asked could i pick it up that day, which i could, but they would not refund me the postage costs.
Pretty poor service and not happy that they would not refund me the postage cost. the price was average compared to other retailers - so i'm likely to buy from other retailers before the good guys again
The order went through without any issues and was successful. I assume the order was then allocated to the closest store with stock, who then shipped it out to me the next day.
My item arrived 2 days after being shipped. So handling and delivery times were good.
However, the Hard drive box was damaged, and as an electronic device, i'm not overly comfortable with this as i feel that it could affect the electronic components inside.
However, as i needed the HDD and didnt have time to go and swap it for a new one (there were no nearby stores showing as having the HDD in stock), i decided to take the risk and hope for the best. Otherwise, warranty would have to cover the rest.
Not a bad experience, and one of the better i've had with the Good Guys lately, but would have appreciated more care being taken with my item in packaging.
Would consider purchasing from the Good Guys again

Shipping costs are variable, and for this particular BBQ, the cost of shipping was quite substantial, so i opted to pick it up at my closest store as there were several nearby.
I received an order confirmation and a notification that my closest store with stock was processing it the same day as i made the payment.
Once my order was ready for pickup, i was contacted and i arranged a pickup the next day i was available.
Overall, a hassle free process. Experience buying from the Good Guys varies between stores, so would consider buying from them again, but not certain to recommend them.

Ordered a case for my phone, to be picked up in store.
I received an email confirming my order the same day, with the email stating that i would be contacted once my order was ready.
After a few days, as i had not heard from the store, i decided to call the landline in the email. I was then told i needed to contact the store, rather than the online order assistance number - a little confusing...
Contacting the store afterwards, i was then told that they had my product in stock and they'd arrange a confirmation email to be sent so that i could come in store to pick it up.
I arranged to pick it up the following week.
Overall, not a bad experience. I guess i expected my order to be prepared earlier, as it was a small item, and i didnt really expect to need to call them up to chase up on the order. Additionally, being advised to call the online order number for assistance, only to be told that they couldnt help, and to call the store was a bit confusing.
Nevertheless, not a deal breaker, and i would buy from the Good Guys again
Pickup/ordering system a little confused, but overall some good prices
Ordered a phone case for a family member, to be picked up at a nearby store.
i received an email 2 days later stating that my item was ready for pickup.
I was unable to pick up the item that same day, so i called a few days later once i was free to confirm that my order was indeed ready. I was informed that my order number could not be found so had to leave contact details as they tried to locate it.
Strange, considering i had received an email notification to pick up my order. i was called later in the day stating that they had managed to track my order, by which time it was too late to head to the store to pick up the item, so i arranged to pick it up on the weekend.
Not overly happy that my order strangely disappeared with the risk that my item wasnt available. At least the staff was helpful in tracking down its whereabouts.
Despite the service from The Good Guys always seeming to be a bit hit and miss (and varying from store to store), i'll purchase from them again as their prices can be good.
I ordered a laptop lapdesk and USB charger, arranging to pickup at my closest store with stock.
I received a call a few days later from the store to notify me that the USB charger was not in stock. i was offered the opportunity to wait until stock came, to arrange pick up at another store showing stock or to be refunded the item.
I said i was happy to wait. A few more days later, i was called again to notify me that the supplier no longer supplied the item, so that they would arrange pickup at the other store and that they would call me back once it was all arranged.
After a week after hearing nothing, i called back to find out the situation. I was informed they were waiting on a response from the other store, authorising a transfer pickup and that they would contact me once it was done.
After 2 weeks, i was still not contacted so i called again. I was told that the store still had not replied. After another week of waiting i called back again and this time i was told the store did not have stock, and that i would be refunded the item and that i could pick up my lapdesk.
As i was busy with work, i was unable to pickup my item straight away. While away on travel, i received a notification that i had been refunded for my entire purchase - they had cancelled my entire order, without contacting me or waiting for me to pick up my item.
I decided not to bother contacting them after such unprofessional service and spent my money elsewhere.
Admittedly, this experience would most likely be store dependent, but my rating is based on this particular purchase.

My order was confirmed and marked as ready for pickup the same day. Quite surprising due to the peak season trading times, so i was happy with the quick turnaround.
Someone from the store did try to contact me to advise me that my order was ready for pickup (though i did miss the call).
Picking up my order was as simple as bringing my ID along and presenting them the order number.
Service from the Good Guys definitely varies between stores/franchises, but i can say, i was definitely happy with this purchase and would be happy to shop here again.
