I received a voucher for Ebooks, in Epub format, through Dymocks as a bonus with the purchase of a tablet PC.
I found their range of Ebooks in this format to be quite limited and their Their online search function could do with some improvement, with some books that they have not showing up at all in a keyword or title search.
A glitch in their system the first time I placed my order meant that the price of the books was deducted from my voucher total, but the order wasn't actually registering in their system.
To their credit, they did refund the balance promptly when I contacted them about this. Because of the previously mentioned issue with their search function, it took close to an hour (a second time) to place an order for 2 ebooks.
Because their web page has no preview feature, the ebooks must be bought sight-unseen. I'd selected a couple of reference books and found them mediocre at best.
I have bought books from Dymocks B & M stores in the past, and will continue to do so, but am unlikely to use their online store again.
I love shopping at Dymocks in store, as I am supporting brick & mortar but my online experience with them was abysmal. I ordered 2 classics books and paid $8 shipping for express delivery.
I didn't arrive in the appropriate time frame so I contacted them 4 days later - they told me my books were out of stock. Poor stock management, slow customer service, expensive books/shipping. I eventually got my refund but it was such a hassle!
Dymocks let me down, I wouldn't recommend their online store.
I placed my first order online with dymocks, and decided to choose express delivery. It said that express delivery meant "usually the next day". Standard was "usually 2-4 days" I decided to pay extra for the express. I checked my order status the next day to see if it was coming and saw it was due to be delivered in 4 more days. I have emailed and I've been told by their support that it is picked usually in one day and then has to wait for packaging and delivery. And it actually states delivery for express is 1-3 days. But to find this information I had to click through 3 links from the actual order page. I could have gone to the store quicker than this and bought it with no delivery fee. Really misleading information, not very happy about that.
