Black Library are the publishers of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 books and audio books, perhaps best known for their multi-million copy selling Horus Heresy series.
The books can sometimes be fun and interesting to read about the exploits of your gaming characters/armies in battle, but none of it is of much literary merit and the quality of the stories can be hit and miss; with some reasonably decent but very many others absolutely atrocious.
I’ve bought novels from them a dozen or more times in the past, mostly individually in person. This last online order I placed with them a while back was for 25 copies of the limited ‘gold edition’ of the Horus Heresy novella Aurelian. It was purely an investment, as though they were expensive at around $45 each (not sold anywhere else), they current sell for twice that on eBay, where I’m gradually selling them off. The order was dispatched two days after ordering and delivered the day after that by courier, free of charge due to it being such a large order which was good of them. I was happy with the order experience and would recommend them, if Games Workshop universe fiction is your sort of thing.
