The products I ordered are sent by Toll so it was really quick. I ordered on Monday and they arrived Thursday so that's 3 business days to process and ship, very impressive as it was free shipping.
I ordered a 7 piece silicon kitchen set for $9 and 2pk 60cm Christmas trees on sale for $5. They arrived separately and safely/packaged appropriately.
Quality is okay though the description of the 7 piece set was different - I received a silicon brush instead of perforated spoon. Also, the "RRP" of $49 may have been false because it's usually $19 full price on Milan Direct's eBay store.
I don't think I will be back because the product quality & pricing isn't the best unless there's a great sale.
Apparently they have different courier services available but the customer has no way of knowing which one they are getting or any way to select which one they want. This resulted in me NOT receiving 1. item tracking 2. a delivery window 3. sufficient staff to carry a 32kg table inside my ground floor apartment.
I did, however, end up a scar as assisting with the delivery (and being pushed around by the delivery driver) meant I needed to go to the dr to have a gash in my hand super glued shut. You can find the SAME stuff at the SAME price on plenty of other websites.
HappyFamily99 would not shop at Milan Direct again.
The worst Customer Service In Australia?
Ok, so you decide a new desk is needed for the computer and after some online shopping Milan Direct seems reasonably priced. This is where my tragic tale begins.. Let me tell you all about my experience and give you a great insight into what you can expect should your delivery go anything less than perfectly........
The desk is ordered and paid for 13th June.. All good so far, the couriers will contact the day before to tell you when your ($47 dollar delivery charge) desk is coming. 3 Business Days approx. 12 days of nothing follow, Phone calls, emails trying to see if anyone at Milan Direct has a clue where my desk is and.. no, they don't. A Luckily Break, I happen to be off work (and in) on 24th June and a knock at the door, a driver saying he has a desk for me, no warning or notification as promised! He is genuinely astounded that no one has called me or notified me as they've had the desk for a week! opens the van and picture if you can a box that has gone through the lawnmower, is water damaged and all the fittings are rolling around in the box, I have some shocking photos of the delivery (anyone with any ideas of a consumer review website i can put them on please let me know... Big grin from the driver while he drags the battered desk off the van and says you need to take delivery then call them. "Just sign it STC (subject to checking) and yer all good!" So try to call Milan Direct and realise there is actually no number you can phone you have to email them.. Eventually get a short sharp reply that they need photo proof (do they think I have made it up!?)
So i spend that evening apologizing to my son that he cant have his desk and apologizing to the Wife that the garage is now going to be full of smashed water damaged pieces of wood for the foreseeable future and the rest of the evening uploading photos of every damaged piece and sending it to customer service(this is there standard policy im told if you get a damage goods delivery...
Email it off then nothing for nearly 2 days, then get an email, if you'd like to accept the junk we've delivered to you we will give you $40 to keep it, how does that great offer sound?
So wiped that insult away, asked for a new desk and the wait starts again, no contact.. eventually get an email to say the desk is dispatched to the couriers, they contact you in 24 hours with a dispatch low down, yet again i hear nothing so I call the couriers 2 days after that and they have not got the consignment, so no idea where or when... Were now at the 8th July, 26 days after ordering and I have absolutely no idea when im getting a desk, i can have a refund of the desk but not the $47 delivery charge if i want.. Why would i accept that!? What have i done wrong exactly for a 50 bucks penalty? So I can only hope and wait and wait and wait.. Ill keep you updated! Meantime have a good look at the photo this was my Milan Direct delivery.. Garbage
So Milan Direct anyone like to step up and help me out do i just sit and wait and wonder who I should have bought from and why anyone in there right mind should have to go through this experience in this day and age..
Fully agree with Happy Family 99 .I think they do have the worst customer service in Australia . The no phone thing is unbelievable but true . Took me a rediculous number of emails to finally get a refund . Steer well clear of this mob .
Lack of detail, no follow up, long shipping and soiled goods
I was drawn in by a sleek new desk from Milan Direct. I wouldn't have purchased from them if there were any better looking and functional alternatives to the Active Writing Desk.
Not only was there no description of the materials the desk was made from, it took 4 phone calls and 4 emails to get an answer! They couldn't even tell me where the product was from.
What a joke that the company didn't know about the product they were selling!
To add to it all the product said 'basic assembly required' I only found out after the desk came (2 weeks late and one bag of components heavily soiled/discolored) that it actually meant it was a flat pack and all assembly was required, very deceptive.
From a $470 desk I was expecting it to be mostly assembled. I mentioned all this to them and I managed to wrangle $30 off them for the debacle over their customer service, but when it came to the soiled components they didn't want to know, they didn't even return my emails.
I wish I saw this site before purchasing. I hope all who read this find it useful and not fall into the trap of purchasing from them.
The chair I ordered was initially not in stock. I had paid for it and there was no way to cancel the order. So I waited. Three weeks later it was delivered. It was damaged. I rang immediately. As instructed I took photos and emailed them. The chair is still with me, no resolution offered. I have emailed and rung. I might have saved some money but it just wasn't worth it. buyer beware!!!!
STAY AWAY! CHEAP QUALITY AT A PREMIUM PRICE WITH CHEAP CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ordered bar stools - 6 total cost was $815. Outside of the extensive delay and total useless customer service - who provide only the scripted standard information nothing more. The quality of the stools was laughable. Something you would find in a seconds shop. The material was stapled to the frame ok if it was neatly done. ok if the the both the seat and the back was symmetrical!!!have a look at the back of the chair in the third photo? each chair was different shape looked stupid against my bench. it was my second attempt at buying from these guys the first order (same stools) was either lost by milan direct or the courier and i waited months before cancelling. stupidly i tried again.... my mistake. Their call customer service reps arent equipped to quickly deal with issues or provide any satisfactory resolution. im now trying to get a full refund for the rubbish i received. my advice is to stay away they are very amateur.. two bad experiences and counting..
I ordered 2 items in September, one of which should of been shipped within 24 hours, the other was not going to be until the end of October. It is now November and I am yet to receive the item that apparently shipped within 24 hours. I have asked multiple times for an update and get no response. If there is a delay then let the customer know, do not just ignore emails. TERRIBLE customer service. well it is actually non existent service. I have no idea about the quality of the goods I purchased as I have not received them. do not waste your money here.
