I received an payment confirmation and order shipped email the same day, which was quite pleasing. My item arrived 3 days later, so only a 4 day turnaround time, which i was quite happy with.
Havent used the chromecast as yet, as i (still) havent had the time nor immediate motivation to do so. Ill get around to it one day

Ordered a Stylus pen for my tablet and received free shipping as part of a promotion Dick Smith was running.
The order was marked as processed and shipped the same day as my payment. Thr stylus arrived 2 days later. Much quicker than i expected!
Dick Smith is the only place i've seen which sells the slim stylus i bought, so i guess the price is standard. Free shipping was good (as I got lazy) but is an on again, off again promotion that Dick Smith runs.
If service is like this from Dick Smith all the time, I'd have no issues buying from them again

Speedy shipment
I made an order for 2 pairs of earphones - one from iLuv and one for Sennheiser on Tuesday and it arrived Thursday via registered Startrack post.
It was super speedy, my order arrived in two bubble wrap bags which I thought was unnecessary, they could have fit my order in one bag as I ordered them together but oh well.
Was happy with the price of them, pleased with quality for now after reading reviews but we'll see how they hold up.
Overall, I had another great experience at Dick Smith online.

Logitech Z623 Speaker System
After seeing mostly all of my friends with this awesome sounding speaker system I've wanted it for a while, when I saw it on sale for $99 I had to jump on it. The speakers are super bass heavy but the bass strength can be changed and they look beautiful and have several input options (2x 3.5mm and 1x RCA).
Dick Smith don't have the best website, it seems every time they update it they make it more confusing and worse, however checking out wasn't too hard. They offered a variety of payment methods including PayPal and good email updates.
Shipping was free for items $99 and over however I ordered on Sunday, and it did not arrive until Thursday, it was delivered by StarTrack who have a depot which is way too far away for me to drive to from past experience and come around 1pm when I'm not home, which makes it hard to get my parcel.
Dick Smith had also told StarTrack to not allow me to sign a card for them to leave it unattended which makes it even harder to collect.
However the item arrived functional and undamaged.

Really Quick
I haven't purchased with Dicksmith for about 2 years. I usually find that their prices are average compared to other stores, both physical and online.
Recently I have been browsing around and found that they have a heap of sales via their online store. Some of the stuff is reasonable but some are real bargains (well i think so).
I bought a Sony bluetooth speaker for about $20. This is normally priced closer to the $50-$70 range. The shipping is not too expensive either, where they charge about $5.
The communications is great. I got an email on the day to let me know that they have got received my order. Then another email to let me know when it was to be delivered. All in all, from order to delivery, was only 3 days. Really quick I think.
Would definitely keep an eye out for another discount item.
