I ordered some Logitech earphones from Dick Smith on Christmas day. This is during the busy season so I wasn't expecting my order til at least 2 weeks later but they arrived today, the 2nd of January - an impressive 6 business days!
Arrived via registered post and my product was fine. This was during a free shipping promo so great value there.
My first Dick Smith online shopping experience was good so I'll be back for any other electrical I need. Sometimes their site can be misleading with 'up to ___% off' signs but otherwise their site is easy to navigate and checkout is quick and easy.

Surprisingly Good Picet And Service
Bought a TV here. Typically JB would be my go to but I was surprised to find the best value product at DS instead. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I'll absolutely head back there when looking for products in future.
I gave shipping a lower score as organising in store shipping is almost twice the price of ordering online.
The biggest con from my experience, I saw DS were Selling $70 'gold plate' HDMI cables near the front desk. This is such an old scam taking advantage of less tech knowledgeable customers. They should be ashamed and for me this puts up my distrust hackles whenever I see a business act in these type of ways.
Overall: They are now a store I would be significantly more likely to consider for future purchases.

Bargains to be found, avoid house brand products
From time to time, DSE offers products at very tempting prices which is the reason I purchased from them online several times. I am very pleased with the next day shipping option they have since I live near the CBD and usually get what I ordered quickly. However, I bought a DSE branded 2in1 vacuum stick cleaner which performed alright till it just stopped working a year later. It was cheap and you get what you pay for.

On the 06/11/2012 i ordered 2 'UNIDEN 72XLT VHF/UHF Scanners' for $20 each (clearance),when i arrived one of the scanners was a returned unit which wasn't declared on the site,she take off another $5 which was okay i guess.
There was no shipping charge as it was a Click & Collect reservation.

faulty item, replaced without issues. good service overall
ordered a mobile phone online to be picked up in store. as stock was low, no shipping/delivery was available
i received a text notification 2 days later, letting me know that my item was ready for pickup at my selected store
out of the box, the phone had issues with the sim tray (wouldnt eject the sim properly and got stuck). the original store i had purchased the phone from had sold out, so i had to ring another dick smith for stock and head there to have the item replaced. slightly inconvenient, but things like this happen
the phone was swapped over without any issues, and the new one worked fine. hopefully it holds out for the next couple of years
so overall, good service, just inconvenient having to drive around for faults with the item, but its no fault of Dick Smith

Great Product, Cheap Price, Stupid Delivery!
I ordered an $10 amaysim Voucher from Dick Smith, on special for $7.92. It was a free shipping item but I thought because I only needed the code they would digitally send it to me. Sure enough a few days later a 5kg satchel came from Startrak with my voucher in it! Thats right, one A4 sheet of paper with a voucher on it put into a 5kg satchel. I would buy again, but I think they are just wasting resources for themselves and the customers time.

3 days later, an item shipped email was sent.
2 days after that, my item arrived. So overall, less than a week for my items to arrive.
