Value for money
I usually buy Nespresso coffee capsules for my Nespresso coffee machine but, for a change and because the price per capsule was so low, I ordered some Ristretto capsules from Kogan on February 1. My order was shipped on February 4 and received on February 6.

The quality of the Ristretto is not quite as high as Nespresso's but the value for money is better.

Communication keeping me up to date with what was happening with my order was very good.

Value plus.
On March 1 I ordered 2 x 100 Pack Lino's Nespresso Compatible Coffee Capsules (Granbar Ristretto) and received my order on March 5. I ordered two packs because the price was temporarily reduced. The taste of the coffee is very good and the value, especially considering shipping is free, is excellent.

A good transaction
On April 17 I ordered 100 Lino's Granbar Ristretto capsules to be used in my Nespresso machine. The order was despatched on April 22 (satisfactory turnaround time) and was delivered on April 25.
The coffee is almost as good as Nespresso's and the cost is over 40% lower! Good value.

Coffee galore!
Ordered more Granbar Ristretto coffee capsules from my Nespresso machine on June 12. The order was despatched on June 16 (quite timely for Kogan) and received on June 19.

The coffee is good and the price is low, so the overall value is great.

no frills, value for money. shipping times not so good
bought a Kogan branded heated shiatsu massager

you hear alot about kogan, so i decided to give his products a try. got free shipping as part of a sale promotion

the confirmation email stated expected shipping date was 1-2 days and delivery within 5. my item was marked as shipped 5 days later and arrived 6 days after that. so cant say that shipping times were good nor accurate. luckily i wasnt expecting it in a rush (though i was expecting it sooner)

the massager itself was extremely simple. on/off/heat. thats pretty much the whole manual right there. cant say i can feel any heat, but at least the massage function works.

wont complain, but nothing to rave about. its functional and since comparable "branded" products cost $50 upwards, ill say it offers value for money

not sold on kogan yet, but i'll keep an eye out

Poor after sale service
Bought a Galaxy S3. When it arrived I could not get the SIM card more than 75% into slot. Immediately submitted a report by email. Took 2 days to get a response. Had several emails from them none of which addressed the issue of the SIM not going into the slot.

After several days I went and got the SIM card holder replaced myself as I was travelling overseas and need a working phone. On telling Kogan this they claim it voids the warrantee. It works now no thanks to Kogan.

Bad customer service / False advertising
I recently ordered a Samsung Galaxy S4 for my son's birthday. Received it in record time (1 week - surprising as my daughter's iPhone took a month from Kogan). Improving - or so I thought..

I held his phone until his birthday on the 4th Dec and alas, it appears the claim "All phones and tablets sold by Kogan are network unlocked" is untrue and false advertising. The phone turned out to be network locked to SFR, a French provider..

So I diligently raised a support case with Kogan but later decided to call them. Spoke to Henry who it appears
1) Does not know about about network locks, IMEI, etc.
2) Is extremely forgetful.

He sends me an email to hard reset the phone ??? So I call back and Henry again answers and informs me that they will need to apply for an unlock code.

I send an email with the IMEI and relevant data only to get a response to send a screenshot of the phone status. Lucky for me I own a camera phone and I send that in.

The next day I call back as no response and speak to another chap who informs me that Henry has not even entered my case / phone data. He does that and sends an email to confirm that it is completed..YAAAYY! Someone helpful. He also informs me that if I return thephone for a refund, it could take even longer than getting this problem sorted out (> 3 -7 working days)??

A few hours later I received another email from another person requesting the same info. as before: A photo of the screen and another of the label on the box showing the IMEI number. I take a photo of the IMEI barcode sticker under the battery (as the sticker on the box is eligible from opening it in excitement) and I have sent that through and now we wait...
