I have used WOWHD/CDWOW for many years now, but must say that over the past few weeks I have had an absolutely horrendous service. Several things have gone wrong, and have had absolutely NO assistance Customer Services people. To the point now, where they have taken my money and I have no CDs The list of complaints is LONG
Order item 6 weeks ago, still have yet to receive this item, 51/2 weeks after despatch, a subsequent one was eventually re ordered, but as yet has not been despatched, so have cancelled.
I again ordered another item 6 weeks ago and again, has not been received, then I contacted Customer Services (after 21 days), as yet, haven't even had a response!!!!! Have 2 other items which I also still haven't received, but not allowed to do anything as within the 21 days!!!!
Two more items were not even despatched after a month, contacted Customer Services, who informed me that I could wait (possibly up to another 2/3 weeks) or cancel. I chose to cancel. THREE days later had no response, when I contacted again, was informed THIS MORNING (15th May) that I could not cancel as they were in the process of being despatched. Well they were not three days ago when I cancelled, I have now been told that i have to wait for these and will not be refunded - one of them shows as not even being despatched on my order list!!!!! They have now taken to ignoring my emails and dismissing the issues and any refunds!!!!
Beware, they seem to have turned into Scam Artists!!!!!
Purchased Regular DVD boxset listed as available on Wow e-store website (title released a while ago and readily available elsewhere) & it was on backorder for one month, & during that time DVD still shown as available for purchase on Wow website, even though they don't have stock & my backorder going nowhere, so I cancelled order. I gave WOWHD a go as I researched them & they are Elan Media (Aust) which has local bricks and mortar representation, but if they are going to continue to list stock for sale that they don't have & cant get, I'll stop using them.
I created an account on estorereview especially for this review on Wow HD which is the worst online store I have ever purchased from. I ordered a PS3 game on the 22nd of December which was marked as "in stock" and ready to ship within 7-10 days. A few days after my purchase it was considered as a "back order".
It is now the 28th of January and still no sign of the game. After a couple of e-mails describing to them my situation, they've simply ignored their error and told me it was dispatched on the 14th of Jan.
I thought they were a good option to buy from as they were Australian and a great price; I was very wrong. Never again will I buy from them and I recommend you look elsewhere if you're considering a purchase through them.
DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have bought cds thru this company many times in the past and have had no problem. NOT ANYMORE, I dont know whats happened to them, I ordered 3 cds off them on the 14 June and its now August and still no cds. After many emails and getting the runaround I called consumer protection to find out that this is not acceptable and that I should get a full refund. After cancelling the resending of these cds (twice) they send me dispatch notices for 2 of these cds, the other cd of the original order was dispatched about a month after the first 2 cds so this is still under "investigation". All in all DONT USE THIS COMPANY, as the previous reviewer relates to, there is something dodgy going on with WOW HD
Ordered Feb 26 wit item in stock and only got despatched March 6. It's now March 25th and still have not received the item. Have a contacted the customer service team, but they have not got back. Bunch of thieves.
I have used Wow HD on several occasions when I have been unable to find a fair price with another retailer. They often keep some lesser known titles and a selection of titles which are hard to find. As a movie fan, I love that they stock collector'd editions, movie books and soundtracks. You can get so much in one place all for good prices AND great shipping price to Australia. Shipping speed is usually great from the UK, taking around 7 days in total. Their customer service is fantastic. On one occasion I received a damaged item and their team were very fast with their response to my problem and again with a solution. Great company with great values.
Ordered a couple of CDs at really good pricing - much cheaper than most retailers :) Shipping was right in time, even a bit earlier.
One CD got mixed up with something else but they corrected it very quickly when I contacted them. They emailed me a return label, to return the cd free of charge. They also haven't charged me for postage of correct item.
