Officeworks make online shopping easy. The prices aren't the best but their delivery and service is amazing. Spend $50 and get free same day shipping (before 11:00 am) or next day shipping. Love not having to spend my lunch hour searching for the thing I need!!
I bought a bunch of disposable cameras from Office works. They were under 10, which was the cheapest I've seen anywhere at the time, however the prices at Officeworks aren't always cheaper. They do price match (although I haven't tried this online, not sure if they let you) so make sure to check other sites like JB HI FI. All in all great place to shop.
I purchased an Ipod Nano 7th Gen 16gb which after a scout of the retailer competition, i found Officeworks to be the cheapest at $154 (about $10 less than elsewhere) + free delivery to the Sydney area.
3 days later it was delivered as described. faultless service.
I have ordered a few times from officeworks, they have a good range at reasonable prices. Also they allow accounts and free shipping if the purchase is over $100. I ordered the 8 stationery items which were delivered the next day for free.
BIG box for a small parcel, but otherwise all good.
Officeworks had an online sale for 9volt Duracell batteries, at significantly less than the cost of generic brand alkalines, so I ordered enough for the clocks and smoke detectors.
It took only a few days for them to arrive at the local store for collection and it was generally a smooth and straightforward transaction.
My only issue is that their website does not allow for a mobile phone number to be the primary number, and insists on a home phone number (it's not possible to insert a mobile number in this field.) We are rarely in the vicinity of our home phone during business hours, so it can be several days before the store is able to contact us to advise that items are ready for collection.
On the 05/01/2012 i ordered a Imation 500GB portable hard drive from Officeworks,although delivery was very quick i did ask for signature on delivery only but i found this was ignored and the item was left at the front door,lucky i live in a good area...
I ordered a large quantity of sharpeners and exercise books from Officeworks online during their back to school sales.
I was hoping to buy more exercise books, however the shopping cart would only allow me to purchase 49 as that was all that was in stock. Annoying, but so much better than the cart allowing me to purchase more than was actually available only to cause problems later.
I arranged to click and collect the order to save on postage costs and received an e-mail 2 days later telling me that my order was ready for collection.
Funnily enough when I went in to collect my order, the young lady who picked it up from the back of the store had to then collect some of the items from the shelves on her way through the store. This wasn't an issue as the items were all available, however I would have been upset had they not been. Particularly as the number of exercise books was made up with the very last one on the shelves.
It seems like an odd business model, e-mailing people to say their order is ready, when it actually needs to be put together while they wait in store.
