GraysOnline is an Australian online retail and auction company, offering a huge range of consumer, industrial and commercial goods, direct from manufacturers and distributors.
I purchased a set of dog agility weave poles from Grays. Delivery time was good and delivery price was fair. When I opened them, one pole had a full thickness crack in it and there were no metal stakes as advertised to hold the poles down. Grays said that they were sent straight from the supplier - PortelaGroup, so after sending them pictures of the faulty pole and an explanation of the problem (twice), plus pictures of the box and the invoice from Grays, they refuse to honour their 30 day warranty saying that the problem didn't occur in transit. I will never purchase through them again.
Too many bad deals from this guys. Customer service is none, buyer for them is outbich. Recently purchase item, at the time to collect told item is stolen and refund processing, two month later still waiting for refund. Too hard to get them to reply. Few month ago bought TV, TV came with smashed screen, told I was lucky to get refund as grays do not offer any refunds for any of they items, items sold as is with no warranty. Now was my last purchase ever from grays is cellphone, brand new does not power on. Amazing, this people selling rubbish to kiwis. Avoid grays electronics.
On the 21st May 2014, I purchased a Retro Glass Top Dining Table Set with 6 PU Leather Chairs. As no warrant details were provided prior to the sale, it was assumed that the normal 12 months warranty which would apply for these types of goods would apply.
On the 12th July, the material on one of the chairs completely came apart. After a closer inspection, another chairs is also coming apart.
On the 14th July, I contacted Grays to find out what could be done about this which appears to be due to faulty workmanship. They advised me today that nothing could be done as it is past the 30 Day Warranty period. I have noticed that on their invoice which they provide to you after your credit card has been charged also states the warrant terms. Should I have known that the warranty was so short, I would not have purchased the goods.
rom Grays Online. Delivery delayed, no response as to why. Eventually received a notification that the goods had been delivered to a newsagent 25 km away & I was required to collect them from there within 5 days or they would be destroyed. Wasted hours trying to get a more satisfactory response. Received a further notification that the goods had been sent to another random address 8 km from my home. Finally received agreement that the goods would be delivered to me, but this never happened. Grays backtracked and claimed that delivery had been attempted at my home so they wouldn't be making any further attempt at delivery. I can prove that no such attempt was made, but the Grays "customer service" representative alleged that I, my partner, my mother, my children and 2 trusted employees were all lying; and she believed a delivery driver who would never lie. A total nightmare. I now have to spend countless more hours making a Fair Trading claim thanks to Gray's failure (refusal) to execute the most simple task. Incompetent? Absolutely. But this went beyond that and into fraud. Avoid these scamsters at all costs. It is just not worth it.
I bought an Orologio Grande Collection Men's Watch on July 14 and received notification from the carrier on July 18 that delivery had been attempted (hard to believe as I was home when the attempt was supposedly made) and that I could pick up from a location 25 minutes from my home! I was not impressed.
The communication from Grays, however, the quality of the watch and the price were all great.
I bid for and won a 12 bottle case of Redstone Ridge Shiraz 2009 on August 28 and received the case on September 3. The price I paid, including their "buyer's premium" and delivery, was less than $4 per bottle!
The five year old Shiraz is smooth, Grays Online's communication was perfect and the price......what can I say?! Fantastic value all round.
