HN has been slow in maximising its online presence and even now, compared to say JB, it pales in comparison. HN really could be one of the dominant players if it just had all its ducks lined up in a row.
Anyway, one day they were having a half price games sale, so I jumped on it to get a few XBOX games. The process was nice and easy and I got several emails along the way to let me know what was happening.
I believe the package was sent by a local HN, so they probably receive the orders and process them in store. Everything was perfectly packaged and arrived quickly. Postage costs were reasonable too.
I would buy again from the online HN store, but probably only for a really good special.
An amazing price on flash drives popped up on the Harvey Norman website yesterday (I saw it on OzBargain) and I couldn't help but jump on it. I didn't want to pay for postage so decided to pickup after work as it was Thursday (late night).
The process was super easy to go through and I could even pay by PayPal, I just had to give them my licence at the store and it was all good to go. It was out the back in the bag ready to go. I'm taking one point of the service because I stood at the counter for a bit and nobody seemed to notice me straight away.
The emails about my order were prompt (my receipt and the notification that it is ready for pickup).
The Toshiba 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drives are great, especially for 99c!
I bought this as a gift and they handled delivery and my request really really well!
The person i'm buying gift for would not normally accept any gifts from anyone, then I called harvey norman up asked if they can make me anonymous.
They told me it should be fine and my name would not be written anywhere :D
However, the plan still fails as the person realized that it was me... but that's not harvey norman's fault!
In regards to the delivery, they did not deliver it in the first go as no one was home. However, the next day the addressee called up and they told them she would pick them up. However, even before she has the chance to go to harvey norman, the goods is delivered safely in front of doorstep!
On the 30/05/2013 i ordered '1 x Toshiba 4GB USB thumb drive' and within the hour i received notification that my order was ready for pick up.Today (31/05/2013) i went in to collect my order and was really impressed by the friendly service i received.
There was no charge for shipping as this was a click n collect order.
Ordered a Braun Silk Epil 5 for pickup at my local store. Was on sale, so was around $20 cheaper than other retailers at the time.
Payment was made via Amex. Was sent a Order confirmation via email the same day, and 3 days later an email saying the item was ready for pickup, with instructions of what I needed to bring to pick it up and a map and contact details for my chosen store.
Pretty easy and hassle free, so would buy from Harvey Norman again, at the right price of course!
I purchased my tablet from the online store during its weekend sale period and the price is great amongst all other stores i.e. officeworks, dicksmiths, jb hi-fi & etc. It is a very good buy with quality product that I love to use each day. I like how the store have the customer pick up option that enabled me to pick up my item at my nearby store without any delivery charges.
