I placed an order on Tuesday night so I wouldn't miss out on the sale items from that week. I use click and collect so it saves me the delivery cost. The only complaint is that often take too long to bring you your order. I could have grabbed it all from the shelf myself in less time. It would help if they gave priority to click and collect customers rather than finishing serving the queue (even though those customers arrived later than me)
I found their website slow, too many images which took a long time to load. Same problem when trying to view their catalogue online, very slow.
I ordered non-perishable goods (ie. no meat, fruit or vegetables)and no problems with the condition of the goods.
Chose Click and Collect option. You have to nominate the day and roughly the time that you will be collecting the goods. They have a separate section for Click and Collect at the service desk and it wasn't busy when I collected my goods so no need to queue. Happy with the Click and Collect option.
Woolworths online is undeniably very convenient. I used to always shop online with them when there was a $5 delivery window option. They increased it with the less you spend attracting a higher delivery charge. That meant that most of my orders would attract the higher charge. I havent used them for months now and havent gone back so before you place an order check out the delivery charge if that add on matters to you. It did to me
gift ordering is hard (impossible?) to track, but i did get my item after some delays
ordered a giftpack to be delivered to a relative
shipping was only $3, so good value.
received an order confirmation stating that delivery was expected on the 9th Jan (after purchasing on the 3rd). Sadly, it didn't get delivered till the 15th. At least the item only took 1 day to arrive after it was dispatched
As there was quite a delay and no updates on order status, i contacted Woolworths both via email and phone (using the contact details they provided). A little bit of a hassle as it seems that their phone support can only see your order (my account didn't even show it), but cannot track or tell you of your orders status etc. They have to send off an email to the relevant gift department. Email replies also took several days for a response (if at all). Seems their system for the gift department section needs alot of fine tuning
Please note, i ordered from their "Gifts" section, which seems to be handled by a different area from their regular online orders
So after about 3 calls (which were forwarded via email) and 2 direct emails (with one response), my order was marked as dispatched and arrived just under 2 weeks after date of purchase. Cant say the communication was the best. It felt more an "order and hope for the best" experience.
I guess I'd consider buying from their gift section again, as i did receive my items in the end, despite the delays and having a great deal of difficulty in finding someone who could help. The customer service reps (over the phone) are helpful, but also have their hands tied as they cant do much except to forward on your enquiry, (hopefully) to be replied.
I decided to try Woolworths, I shop regularly with Coles online and wanted to start comparing prices. When I first visited the website I kept getting error messages, I persisted and was able to do a small grocery shop. I was surprised at the prices of some things being quite cheaper than Coles but I also found the experience of searching and finding products on the website quite difficult. Often search results don't relate to the item you are looking for. Delivery was on time within the window ordered but I noticed they charge your credit card immediately upon ordering and then refund to card if something is out of stock. Coles wait until they have picked products from the shelf. It was a disappointing experience.
I don't know that I would shop at Woolies online again.
Their produce is a bit bad. I find that you get much better produce in-store, picking through the fruit and veg yourself.
I loved buying my groceries online for awhile, after having an injury that made shopping difficult. But I just don't know that it makes good sense if you aren't desperate.
Delivery costs are high, too.
One good thing was having everything arrive at once with no fuss... but there are other companies that offer the same service and do it better!
Very unimpressed this time round, what is up with their stock management?!
My ENTIRE order was out of stock (lots of coke cans), I'm extremely disappointed they couldn't honour my order.
I'm also out of my free shipping orders (first 3 orders) so I won't be back unless it's really worth it. Booo, thumbs down from me, a shame my final order was a disappointing experience.
