I placed an order with iHerb.com on 8 April 2016. My order included: EcoTools Retractable Kabuki Brush, Natural Factors B12, Home Health Castor Oil, Christopher’s Original Formula Herbal Tooth and Gum Powder, Now Foods Solutions Vegetable Glycerine, Thayers Dry Mouth Spray, two bottles of Thayers Alcohol Free Toner Unscented Witch Hazel, Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser & Polish, Sierra Bees Organic Lip Balms, Calendula Caress and Herb Pharm Calendula Oil.
I chose the DHL delivery option with my last order and that took a long time. With this order, I chose the UPS option which was faster. My order arrived on 15 April. I live in a regional area, so this delivery time is excellent.
The castor oil was enclosed in a plastic bag. The bottle’s lid did not have tape over it, but its contents had not leaked. The vegetable glycerine was enclosed in a plastic bag. Its lid was not sealed with tape but there was no leakage. The dry mouth spray had a plastic seal over the bottle so it was not wrapped in plastic. The bottles of witch hazel were enclosed in plastic bags and their lids were not taped. One bottle had a tiny amount of leakage. The Calendula Caress was wrapped in bubble wrap. The Herb Pharm calendula oil was not enclosed in plastic but its lid had a plastic seal over it.
I recently made a purchase which included an automatic first time user's discount. I was pretty sure I hadn't bought from iHerb before but presumed that the discount would be removed if I had. I put the whole order through and paid through PayPal. I received an email saying I wasn't entitled to the discount and the order had been cancelled. The correspondence was basically blaming me for trying to get another discount. I emailed back saying that the coupon simply appeared and I presumed I hadn't purchased from them before. I received another email saying "Our system does not allow us to remove the coupon, so the order was cancelled and the money rerouted back to the credit card used for the order". So basically they are blaming their customers for a fault in their system. I am so over online behaviour and etiquette from impersonal international stores and will now simply pay a little more to be treated well by our smaller Australian ones.
For $5 off for first time customers use code RHN527 http://www.iherb.com?rcode=RHN527
As an Aussie customer it is super to receive free shipping with the Aust Post service. For orders over $200 i use DHL service which is heavily discounted and express.
I order supplements, mineral makeup, skincare, body products and herbs. I mostly like organic and find it cheaper to buy spices in bulk packs they have.
For the person that loves natural products whether organic or not....iHerb is a dream.
My fav brands are Andalou for skincare and Deep Steep. Really quality ingredients. I also like Now brand and Doctors Best for supplements and Now brand for essential oils.
Crystal Essence is best deodorant brand (scented and clear roll on or spray).
I also will add one or two cleaning products. I received today the Fig & Thyme cleaning all purpose spray by Grab Green. Makes cleaning less of a drag if u use products that are natural and smell nice. Attitude products are also fantastic.
I could keep going on and on lol.
I once received a product that leaked in parcel and iHerb refunded me after I emailed proof! Have placed many orders and will continue to do so. Make sure u select ur country so u get charged in that currency (I get charged in AU dollars which avoids credit card fees).
OMG just ordered again and sooooo loving the Acure brand! Bought the dry oil body spray, Argan stem cell shampoo and conditioner and toner spray. Going to place another order as its 20% off bath n beauty this week (ends 20 feb).
I ordered some Kombu from iherb.Since the awful tragedy where iodine poisoning from Kombu powder was responsible for some terrible thyroid illnesses or some such, it has been almost impossible to source.
However, Kombu is valued by some Chinese and Japanese chefs for its ability to soften grains and make them more easy to eat and digest. It's a fantastic additive to soups and even to rice. I don't eat so much of it that I would ever get poisoned, even on the very low chance that the iodine levels were super high - mostly only once or twice a week. It is so healthy and nutritious, too.
So, I am glad to find iherb. Their shipping is lightening fast, and their products are great. They *are* slightly more expensive than a health food shop, if you include postage, but as I only use them in the odd instance, I'm not too bothered by that.
I have always been happy with iHerb, and my last order with them was no exception. My only minor complaint with iHerb in the past was that they sometimes did not pack liquid products in enough protective packaging. For my last order, everything was packed extremely well.
I have been placing a couple of large orders with iHerb each year and requesting that they be delivered through DHL. In the past, my experience with DHL has been efficient. My last order was a different story, and I assume that it was because I do not live in a capital city. I tracked my parcel online from when it arrived in Sydney. My order was redirected to several locations in Sydney. Then it was sent to Brisbane, back to Sydney, and back to Brisbane! I phoned DHL and I was told that my parcel had been sent through Australia Post and I received it shortly afterwards. Due to this experience, I will probably do smaller orders with iHerb and request that they be sent through Australia Post.
I am giving a five star rating for iHerb and not for DHL!
My order of make-up brushes and tea arrived in 6 business days, everything packaged neatly and well protected. The prices of pretty much everything on iHerb is so attractive because it's US RRP.
Even when our Aussie dollar is weak it's still more affordable to buy from iHerb than in stores. And with this high level of service, I really can't resist.
If anyone is interested in a code for $10 off orders of $40 or more, or $5 off on orders less than $40 for your FIRST order...you can enter my code: BCQ325. Thanks lovely people!
I really appreciate the ease of shopping at the iHerb website. Being able to create and save a list of items that I purchase on a regular basis is a wonderful tool. It makes shopping every month so much easier. I am grateful for all of the information available for each vitamin or supplement giving detailed ingredients and usage as well as reviews. The extensive catalog provides lots of options and comparison shopping is easy. Every order has been filled perfectly, packaged well and shipped promptly. All communications through the website and email have been clear and helpful. Oh and did I say how much I appreciate the sales?! Thank you, iHerb! Great quality and wonderful customer service. At check out I entered the code 'PJH581' and only had to pay the $3 plus change. You all will get $10 off your first order .
