Before I received my dress, I couldnt stop telling people how great this site was because I thought the styles were fantastic. However, I have quickly changed my mind since receiving the package.
Negatives:
- Poor quality. For the price I paid for the dress ($60) I expected better quality material and more professional sewing skills. The material was too thin and gets creased/wrinkled. It sure didnt feel $60. The stitches were also poorly done.
- Clothes get sold out too quickly.
- No refund policy, only credit note available.
Positives:
- Ordered on Saturday morning and they delivered it on Monday (express shipping free for orders over $30). I wasn't at the address when they delivered so the courier called me and was willing to take it to my workplace the next day for no additional cost.
- The styles are nice but I just wished there was quality to match.
- There are sites (eg peppermayo) selling similar or even exactly the same clothing but lucy in the sky sells it cheaper. I don't know if it's because it is imitations or because it is poorer quality that's why.
They do offer free postage on returns of full priced items if you inform them within 7 days but I have yet to test out how promptly they reply to queries about returns
Overall, I don't think I will be purchasing online at this store again. I can find better quality at similar prices in store.
Great prices but worst customer service EVER! All I wanted to do was exchange two dresses. If they didn't have my size then I was happy to get a store credit. In order to get this store credit, I'll need to return the dresses within 14 days. How am I suppose to do this if they don't even reply to an email? Instead they spend all day posting pictures on their Facebook page which is apparently more important! I love shopping online and have never experienced bad customer service like this. I won't be shopping on this website again. I'll also be advising my friends not to either. Really disappointing.

Affordable and fast
Ordered a dress which was being sold at about $40, which was pretty cheap. Order was shipped same day and arrived the next. No complaints about anything and I am really happy with the dress that I received.
WOW! Lucy in the Sky DOES NOT refund your money if you make a return!!! You have to reach out to them a couple of times to get your money back… What a HASSLE! They even shipped back one of my orders because they said it had past 28 days of return policy when I'm shipping from the U.S…. so of course it takes awhile going back to Australia… But not even offering me a store credit!!!
Not only I lost $80 + $20 shipping but now I'm stuck with two dresses that DON'T fit! Their sizing is all off and the quality of clothing is REALLY BAD!
I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!!

Dear Alba, we had to take into consideration that 4 out 5 of your previous orders were returned within the time-frame required. All orders were fully or partially refunded. We believe you are familiar with our refund policy and the time-frame required for the items to be eligible for a refund. As you are aware, we expect items shipped to USA to be returned within 4 weeks from the delivery date. Unfortunately, this time your items were not refunded and returned back to you AT NO EXTRA COST as they arrived back to us 8 weeks after the delivery date.
You tell me what person would NOT be upset losing $100!?!? ANY company out there at least would offer a store credit instead of... "Sorry unfortunately there's nothing we can do!" I have NEVER experienced that! The items were in perfect condition as they don't even fit me... This is ridiculous guys!!!
Dear Alba, Lucy in the Sky has similar refund policy to majority of US-based stores. Urban Outfitters, Nasty Gal, Forever 21 all are having 30-day return policy. Your items were returned almost 2 months from delivery date. Usually, by that time the items you purchased and wish to return for a refund are discounted and/or taken off the website. This is the reason for not accepting items for a refund after 1 month period from delivery date. Hope it helps.
You are going to compare your company to Nasty Gal??? I shop there ALL the time and never had a problem with them! Forever 21 is at every corner of street so it's easy and convenient... Post Offices are not close by and they close after work hours... I have to arrange work schedule in order to go to post office and I'm already paying $20-25 to ship back... Anyway! I've learned my lesson to not deal with non-reputable companies like Lucy in the Sky!!!
So Anonim, you sent the stuff back 2 months after you got em and you're upset that they wont give you store credit?? You know I've been reading through these reviews and it appears that everyone here are quite the unreasonable bunch. I personally wont be buying anything from Lucy blah blah blah, because their quality is just horrendous, but damn, you all have taken the award for worst customers ever!
Dear ScepticShopper, as a customer, don't we have right to voice our opinion in relation to the quality of a product? We're paying money for the products and should have a say in it's quality, unless you weren't planning to actually wear what you buy. For me, I wished I had come across these reviews about quality before I made my order. Buying from an online store is different from buying from a physical store. I don't get to see or feel the product I am buying before I place the order. I have submitted a review as a way for the company to improve its products and business model because I want businesses to be successful and a business cannot thrive if it doesnt listen to its customers. personally I cannot justify the price for the poor quality material they use and people should be able to make an informed decision before buying, especially if you cannot refund. If I had seen the products in store, I definitely would not have purchased it. I'm in love with the styles but for me: quality > style and if quality is poor, price should reflect this. I hope the quality will be improved in the near future.
Wow this store is a dream for dress lovers, they also sell awesome shoes, clothes and accessories!
I picked up a gorgeous dress for a party and it was slightly expensive for the quality, a little disappointed there.
Browsing the store is really fun, checkout is quick and easy, I like that they also show products that are out of stock and you can request a restock. You can also hide the sold out styles for convenience.
They offer free express shipping if you spend over $40, so my dress came the next day! Overall, I had a good experience but the quality is not what I'm looking for. However, if there is a dress I fall in love with, I probably will buy it.
I ordered a dress and skirt from Lucyinthesky. It was free shipping and the parcel arrived promptly (2 business days). The product was of a lower quality than I expected but I still loved it. I used a promotional code as it was still boxing day sales. But I would still buy it even if it wasn't on sale ad the pricing is very reasonable especially compared to their competition (showpo, hello molly and beginning boutique) who over priced their item a lot.

Sizing is shocking!
Today the 1st of Oct I revcieved my order from Lucy in the Sky. The sizing is shocking! I regularly buy clothes online and know my sizing so when I ordered a size 8 I knew what I was expecting. When I opened up my parcel it looked beautiful until I put the dress on. It said size 8 but felt like a size 14. The low back was so low it showed my undies (I am average height 5'3).
