First up, I have to give a heads up to a customer servce rep, 'Ella', who was fantastic on the phone and followed up on my frustrated call wonderfully. But other than that, my experience shopping with Dangerfield was slow and laborious.
I ordered two skirts: The Maggie (midi skirt) and the Jemima (corduroy) both in Navy. The Jemima arrived first (seperate packages) and I quickly noticed that the stitching was wonky. Such a small issue, but when I put it on, it was super crooked on the side, like it had been made by someone who can't sew. Later, the Maggie arrived and even though it's coming into winter and it was styled onsite with stockings and boots, it was made of thin cotton. So cheap!
I tried contacting Dangerfield to arrange a reply paid return and it took them awhile. I understand it was a sale period... but it has been MUCH quicker to deal with other sites, even those with time differences to deal with.
The most frustrating thing was when I looked at the tracking, and noticed that the returns parcel had arrived back at dangerfield at least a week prior... and still no email or refund. That's when Ella followed up and saved the day.
I bought a gorgeous shift dress from Dangerfield a few months back (only remembered to type this review because I saw a promo - tomorrow on mother's day, they'll donate 20% of all sales to Save the Children and the relief efforts in Nepal, plus free playing cards are thrown into your order!!).
Anyway back to my experience, it was a great one. My dress was sold out in store so I had to hop online to buy it, the fit is perfect, quality is lovely as always, I wear it all the time.
The only thing that bugged me was $10 shipping but in the end it was worth it, and I no longer expect businesses to cover the cost of shipping anymore so that's fine. My order arrived in 4-5 business days, very happy with my order.
Now to wait for 10/05/2015 to buy stuff off my huge wishlist. Hopefully this is posted by then!
I have been feeling a little iffy about dangerfield lately. Their stuff seemed to get kind of horrible and cheap for awhile. But they are back!! I ordered the willow dress, and it is as pretty in real life as it is in the picture.
It's the kind of dress I can wear to work, or to dinner. It's probably a little formal for uni, but nevertheless, an instant classic.
I do wish their shipping wasn't so expensive. It seems silly that a customer has to pay $10 to have it delivered, when many other stores give free postage to entice you to purchase from them. I think that's the reason why I shop much more from other stores than from Dangerfield Online. However, this time, I found a winner!
