I have been ripped of to the tune of $250.00 over two orders by this company. My orders have not been supplied to me despite paying for them almost a month ago. According to their website at the time both orders were supposed to be dispatched within the week. I wrote them last week (almost tree weeks later) voicing my concerns, advising them that I'd received nothing and requested a refund. They totally ignored the issues and responded by sending the second order! I haven't received the second order either. They did nothing to investigate where my first order had gone to, they simply sent the second order despite me asking for a refund. NOW they tell there'll need to be an investigation raised before I can receive a refund. So far they've done NOTHING they said they would. DO NOT order from this company.
I came across Mighty Ape through a google search and found they had a wide range and competitive prices. The DVDs I bought were Molokai, Boy and The Mission. My order was shipped immediately after I ordered it online and arrived within 3 business days.
One indisputable fact about Mighty Ape is how fantastic their Daily Deals are. They have such a wide range of products catering to the niche, geeky culture of which we don't have a lot of online shopping options to choose from in Australia. I like that you can find things as nostalgic as collectible car and train models to very recent Batman figurines and YuGiOh! memorabilia - for reasonable prices too!
I must say though, their shipping, whilst within the boundaries of their stated shipping period, was not as prompt as I expected.
In this order, I purchased a DVD Box Set that was on a specially marked down price. It took about 2-3 weeks to arrive, and by the time it did I was actually surprised because I had forgotten all about it.
Their packaging isn't very flashy either. When I had bought a series of plush toys the previous year, they arrived in a cardboard box. That was it. Perhaps this is to help save costs on shipping - and this I can appreciate, however I did not find it a very secure method of packaging as the DVDs I later bought also arrived in identical fashion.
They're fairly prompt in responding to inquiries via email, however, so in this respect you're at least able to chase up and get answers without too much of a headache.
Purchased Halo 4 for Xbox 360 for around $65 which was a great price for local stock. Other prices also seemed to be far cheaper than from other Australian online retailers. Delivery took 3 business days (Not including the weekend) and item was in perfect condition. No hassels with product and would definitely shop there again!
