What a scam! Never buy any sims/plans from Phonebot! They are terrible. I purchased Vodaphone $40 starter pack from the online shop. It came in dodgy looking package with the sim card sticky taped. When I tried to activate it Vodaphone said it had already been activated. When I called them the first time I was promised that the replacement would be sent to me promptly. Then when I tried to follow up after a few days my emails are being left without reply. When I tried to call I was referred by a very rude salesman in St.-Kilda to Resevour shop. Tried to call them and got nothing but a message bank of some mobile number. Not replying because too busy sticky taping used sim cards and selling as new to unsuspected customers? Scammers!
Hi Olga Would have replied to earlier if this review website was on googles radar. Back in 2016 we were selling some "standard" size vodafone $40 sim cards which you must have requested to be cut to nano or micro. Our staff must have chopped the sim as per your requirement and sticky taped it on to the sim jacket. There has been numerous occassions where vodafone has given free replacements for faulty vodafone sims and this sounds the case. Anyways since this is just an old incident, i sincerely apologize for the muck around (Vodafone $40 sim sold for $14 + free shipping)
Took a phone to phonebook reservoir and got the screen replaced but the next day it doesn't work on the right hand 2cm of the screen and the rest of the screen works half the time you press it. I took it back but it still doesn't work. I've had screens replaced at other phone repairers and have need had a problem. I think they used a cheap screen replacement. DO NOT GO HERE!
Took phone to another store and got a new screen and it works perfectly. I wouldn't recommend going to phonebot.
Hi mate . This reply is almost 3 years late . Apologies for your bad experience with us. Hopefully youll give us another chance to redeem ourselves. Cheers
I ordered 3 $20 Google Play prepaid cards from Phonebot when they had some discounted cards available.
I received the redemption codes for the cards via e-mail within 2 days of placing my order, which I had expected and the codes were simple to activate on my Google Play account. One of the codes came up with an error message though, saying that it was invalid.
The e-mail from Phonebot had said to reply to that e-mail with any issues, which I did, however I received no reply. After almost a week, I e-mailed again, still to no response. I tried the following day via the contact us page on their website and received a follow up e-mail from them a day later with a new redemption code. That one worked without any trouble and all 3 credits were successfully applied to my Google Play account.
I must say, I was a bit worried there, I thought I wasn't going to hear back from them about the invalid code, but I did, so all is well that ends well. All up, I am happy with the purchase, but it was a bit worrisome.
