Good price but bad service
I ordered an Instax camera with films for my sister's birthday so I chose Express Shipping. The delivery came in 3 days as expected, but it was a worse model which was half the price of which I had initially ordered. I sent a complaint and was assisted within 15 minutes. We agreed that they sent me another patch of films. It was fine for the inexpensive products but I won't purchase expensive things there as I don't want to have unpleasant surprise anymore.

eGlobal should not be allowed to operate in Australia
What ever you do don’t touch these guys – they are so unprofessional it is a joke. The first disappointment was that I bought from an Australian website (.com.au) on purpose so that i would get the Canon Australia warranty, but discovered upon using their tracking service that it was shipped from Hong King, therefore no warranty!
The camera developed focussing issues and so I sent it back to eglobal for repairs ‘under warranty’. As it was going to Hong Kong I got insurance through Australia Post which cost over $100. They took around 1 month to get it back to me and when it arrived I went out and took 6GB worth of photos and all but about 20 were not in focus. So I approached them again and they responded that they would be happy to look at it again. Which of course was going to cost me another $100 if I wanted insurance and I promptly asked them to pay for the shipping costs as it was their failure to repair correctly that resulted in me incurring the shipping costs – well since then they have just not answered any of my ‘support tickets’. I finally got to ‘talk’ to someone via their IM service 4 months later. She told me that the service department was so under the pump that I shouldn’t expect a response for a long time!! What the hell is that, not a professional outfit that’s for sure?
So as I am going overseas in August and want my camera working of course so I took it to a local repair place who took a look at it for me (another $100) and told me they couldn’t fix it and it needed to go to Canon. So off it went and here is the reply from Canon:
"Upon inspection found unauthorized tampering of the camera as evident by some internal screws fitted incorrectly to the designated areas, FPC connector for the CMOS Assembly not fitted correctly to the Bottom Printed Circuit Board Assembly causing Error 06 message on the rear LCD window, and Flange Back depth for the CMOS Assembly not within specifications resulting in focus issues with the supplied lens. * This type of repair is not covered by the terms of warranty. Quote to dismantle unit, reset and refit CMOS Assembly and correct the Flange Back depth to repair, perform Auto Focus adjustment and adjust the unit as required. Reassemble, clean, check and test all functions. Labour $ 314.00 Freight $13.00 Sub Total $ 327.00 GST $32.70 Quotation Total $359.70"
A litany of errors!!
So now I have a camera that has been out of action for the better part of nine months and the warranty has been voided because of dodgy repairs and it has cost me almost $600 to date – more than the saving you get from buying from these clowns. Whats more disappointing is that I spent almost $4000 on the body and lens.
Do yourself a favour (and everyone one else) boycott these guys and purchase from an authorised Canon re-seller, don’t waste your time, money and stress on eGlobal they are cowboys pretending to operate out of Australia. I am currently commencing action through the department of consumer protection – these guys should not be allowed to operate in this country.

Bait and Switch
I was in the market for some really good wireless headphones and decided on the Bose AE2w. Then I shopped around online for the best price. Turns out the eGlobal Digital Camera's had a great price but I wasn't at all sure they were legit. Took a punt and clicked on purchase. 24 Hours later, I got a strange email ... "Thank you for placing an order with us.
In order to ensure the order is genuine, we have a procedure and need your full cooperation so that we can process your order swiftly. We would need you to send us an email reply from your Work/ Paid Email , i.e. company email, internet service provider email such as bigpond.com, iinet.com or optus.net, confirming your shipping address in order to further process your order. We will continue to process your order upon the completion of the confirmation. Please be assured that your personal information will only be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy stated in our website. Your support in our effort to protect the interests of both buyer and seller is greatly appreciated."
What to make of this? After all, I paid with PayPal and the purchase was confirmed by PayPal. And what is this nonsense about using a 'Work/Paid Email'? I have a yahoo address and I pay annually for a premium email service. Apparently that isn't good enough for eGlobal. Feeling confident (because of my PayPal guarantee) I did as they asked and then got another email thanking me for complying.
Now, 10 days later, I get another email stating "We are sorry to inform you that Bose AE2w Bluetooth Headphones is out of stock and shortage, unfortunately, we still have an unconfirmed re-stocking date. It may take up to another week or even longer, which we cannot guarantee you now. Please help confirm if you would like to wait, purchase another item, or if you would like to cancel."
No communication then this email saying basically...'we don't have any of the product we advertised and we can't guarantee we will ever have it'! So, now do I play the game and hope that I'll get my money back or worse, have to waste time trying to get PayPal to honor their guarantee? As a consumer, I can state emphatically, that there is nothing more annoying than getting jerked around by some company that makes promises but can't deliver.
I think I'll cancel, and pay more at a retailer I recognize. I hope you do the same.

Not impressed
Ordered a set of Sennheiser headphones.
Initial process was a bit convoluted but the headphones were delivered quickly.
Whilst the price for the item looked great the shipping costs were HUGE, however still cheaper than local stores so I decided to proceed.
Headphones arrived boxed and undamaged but did not work, so I contacted a local Sennheiser service centre as they were just around the corner. However eGlobal are not an authorised dealer so the headphones are not covered by Sennheiser warranty.
Organised return for replacement which was even more convoluted and painful. Courier collected and delivery was tracked. It took 2 weeks for eGlobal to agree that they were not working.
It has now been another 10 days since they agreed that they would send a replacement but nothing has arrived and no notice received.
Even if I do receive the headphones and get long and happy use out of them I would struggle to find a reason to shop at eGlobal again.
Shame as I own a number of SLRs and would have been a repeat customer if they had their house in order.

Buyers Beware!
Whatever you do, DON'T order from eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au you won't get your order in 3 to 5 work days as they claim.
Ordered the Motorola Moto G 16Gb from eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au on 18 Feb 2014. Website did not indicate that phone is out of stock. When order was submitted, I received an email to say that their supplier will only bring in the phone on 26 Feb 2014 (a week after the order was placed).
After several queries, they said they are packing it today and still won't confirm when they will ship it to me. I foresee I will only get my phone next week — two weeks after ordering! This Hong Kong dealer operating under an Aussie domain online works on pre-orders. You order, they contact their supplier, you wait. They won't ship your order immediately as they claim and you certainly won't get what you ordered in 3 to 5 work days as they claim on their site. What a sham! There are better online retailers out there. Buyers beware!

Not to be trusted
I purchased from eGlobal Digital Cameras on 30 March 2014 a Nokia mobile phone advertised as being unlocked. Two weeks later the order arrived from Honk Kong and the phone was found to be locked. eGlobal arranged for the phone to be shipped back to Hong Kong for assessment. Despite numerous requests for an update on if the phone will be replaced or money refunded there has been no response in 6 weeks.
eGlobal digital cameras falsely advertised the product and failed to honour their contractual responsibility to deliver a product in working order. Rather than accept they are at fault they have chosen to remain silent and keep the money paid to them in good faith.

Bad warranty system and terrible service.
Do not buy from this company. I'm having a horrible time with them. Bought a Nokia Lumia 720 from them which failed after less than 2 months. Fair enough, but after shipping it back to them it takes them more than 5 weeks to decide that they won't repair it (only after numerous efforts by me to get a progress report) and send me a replacement phone. I get the new phone only to find out that it is not new, but refurbished with a microphone that cuts out all the time and the phone itself does not get recognized by any computers. Yet they claim that it has passed their quality control...some kind of quality control that is. The issue still hasn't been resolved as they are hesitating in sending me a new model. They also delete complaints from their facebook page.
