Prices nothing special. More for convenience of locations
Ordered a travel backpack in preparation for travelling in the nearby future.
As my order was over $100, shipping was free.
The pricing was comparable to other stores, but I chose Myers due to the convenient locations of their stores in case I had issues with my item.
My order was confirmed the same day and marked as shipped 3 days later. As I wasn't home when the item was delivered, it was dropped off at the nearest Australia post storage centre (as the item was large and bulky).
I arranged for a family member to pick it up the next week as the centre was only open during business hours, which I couldn't make.
Overall, from making the order to delivery, only 5 days, so I'm happy with the service. The bag seems decent, but the true test will be when I actually travel with it and put it through its paces.
Based on this experience, I'll be happy to buy from Myers again
Convenient large network of stores for return purchases
i ordered 2 jackets online from Myers, with free delivery with my items being over $100.
my order was confirmed via email and the items were marked as shipped 4 and 5 days later. i believe they were being shipped separately from different stores, hence the 2 separate shipping dates.
Both jackets arrived after 2 days of being shipped which is nice and quick.
the jackets did not fit as expected, so i went in store to return the items with no issues.
i find that they now accept PayPal, which is also a plus.
I would buy from Myers again, should they have the products that i am looking for
Overall the shopping experience is quite positive.
Most of the items are well priced – and you can get some great bargains on clearance items.
The website itself is pretty terrible. It's "clunky" to use, often doesn't work at all, some items don't have prices (or they're just plain wrong), items listed as available when they're sold out, payment gateway crashing... the list goes on. It's manageable, but you'll need to have patience.
Some of the items I ordered were out of stock which was frustrating, but communication regarding this was excellent. I received emails detailing exactly what had happened and quick refunds.
I asked about getting a replacement however, and this wasn't possible. They couldn't exchange it for an alternative either.
As the items are all coming from different stores, everything is shipped individually. I recently bought ~15 pairs of underwear, and they arrived in 10 different parcels from 10 different places. I only paid for shipping once - which was reasonably priced - so I guess this doesn't really matter, but it does make it hard to keep track of deliveries.
I haven't needed to return anything, but the returns policy is fair and clear.
I have just purchased an item for a friend's wedding. viewed online registry and opted for free delivery as pick up within three days was only from the city store. Received item within 3 days. Website would be improved with links to items from the registry page. Used item codes to find item & purchase. Called registry section at Myer to have registry updated.. Seemed harder than it should be as I was transferred to 3 people.
