I decided to try Woolworths, I shop regularly with Coles online and wanted to start comparing prices. When I first visited the website I kept getting error messages, I persisted and was able to do a small grocery shop. I was surprised at the prices of some things being quite cheaper than Coles but I also found the experience of searching and finding products on the website quite difficult. Often search results don't relate to the item you are looking for. Delivery was on time within the window ordered but I noticed they charge your credit card immediately upon ordering and then refund to card if something is out of stock. Coles wait until they have picked products from the shelf. It was a disappointing experience.
I placed an order on Tuesday night so I wouldn't miss out on the sale items from that week. I use click and collect so it saves me the delivery cost. The only complaint is that often take too long to bring you your order. I could have grabbed it all from the shelf myself in less time. It would help if they gave priority to click and collect customers rather than finishing serving the queue (even though those customers arrived later than me)
It's the same story every time - I order a whole bunch of groceries for the week and it arrives the next day during the time frame. The driver is friendly and my order is all there safe and sound.
I love shopping with Woolies online because of the coupon codes you can find floating around to make your order even cheaper.
The quality of goods delivered this time was great. There's no doubt I'd get back online to buy my groceries!
I have become a Woolworths home delivery convert. I order from Woolies online most weeks and have our groceries (with the exception of fruit and veg which I buy elsewhere) delivered on Saturday mornings.
We almost always have the same delivery driver, who is just lovely and he always arrives within the specified window and usually at almost the exact time we expect him according to the "track my order" tab on the website.
We have had the odd item or two missing over time but a quick phone call to Woolies always resolves that without any problems.
My only complaint is that they use so many plastic bags when packing items and that there is no alternative to plastic.
I will continue to use Woolworths online and would recommend them to others.
I don't know that I would shop at Woolies online again.
Their produce is a bit bad. I find that you get much better produce in-store, picking through the fruit and veg yourself.
I loved buying my groceries online for awhile, after having an injury that made shopping difficult. But I just don't know that it makes good sense if you aren't desperate.
Delivery costs are high, too.
One good thing was having everything arrive at once with no fuss... but there are other companies that offer the same service and do it better!
I found their website slow, too many images which took a long time to load. Same problem when trying to view their catalogue online, very slow.
I ordered non-perishable goods (ie. no meat, fruit or vegetables)and no problems with the condition of the goods.
Chose Click and Collect option. You have to nominate the day and roughly the time that you will be collecting the goods. They have a separate section for Click and Collect at the service desk and it wasn't busy when I collected my goods so no need to queue. Happy with the Click and Collect option.
Our family has used the Woolworths Home Delivery Service several times now. Infact, I think yesterday was our 5th or 6th time. Prior to yesterday's order, they had all been on time, good quality products and delivered direct to our dining table with care. Today however, all the fresh food is squashed, bruised and damaged. Boxes of frozen items were ripped open at the top from bad handling, my 2 dozen organic eggs were tossed onto the table and to make the experience worse.... There was 2 items missing. So unfortunately I was forced to phone the customer service line. When I informed them of the situation they of course apologised but here is the problem.... Their response was to offer me a refund, that would take 5 business days to clear, so i could re-order it and pay again to have it delivered tomorrow. I ordered the goods today Woolworths!!! Hello!!! Anyway, despite the obvious lack of customer service already shown to me after my $103 shop.... The complaints lady informed me I would be sent a coupon code to cover the second delivery cost. But, don't be fooled!! It is nothing short of deceitful tactics, because when the code arrived for me to use, there was a minimum spend clause attached to it. Instead of me just paying $12 to re-order the 2 items, I would have to spend a minimum $30 to use the coupon and get my delivery cost covered. Well Woolworths, you can keep my $12 from the items you failed to deliver, take back your so called free delivery coupon code.... Because as of now.... This family will be shopping online with Coles.
wow, I hate apologies that aren't apologies. I too find coles a lot better!
