Despite the Aussie URL, goods are shipped from Hong Kong. Some asian text / no Australian ratings on the packaging, but everything worked, was packed well and shipped within a week.
Ordered a lot of games from this website, They all arrived within a week. Good Stuff
They will sell you the games at a price lower than anything in Australia will offer. Unless of course you manage to hit some sales at JBHiFi. New releases will also be about $20-30 below the RRP of what EB-games will offer you.
Australian customers will be relieved to find that Oz Game Shop is a cheaper option to pricey local video game stores.
With a easy to navigate website and reward point system, the e-store is an easy pick for buying games and merchandise online. Games are foreign but ensured to work on Australian platforms.
From experience with purchasing multiple video games, shipping often arrives faster than the estimated time (Around 2-3 weeks) which is a pleasant surprise.
Prices are lower than local stores and reward points can be collected for discounts on products which is a nice addition.
Overall, Oz Game Shop is a good option for the money-savvy gamer who doesn't mind waiting for (relatively speedy) shipping.
After searching online for the fitbit one from Australian online stores, found that ozgameshop offered the cheapest price with free shipping. Getting it officially through fitbit was 119.95 with free shipping so it was a saving of $13.
Not being an existing customer the usual process of signing up was required, but wasn't too difficult. They accepted payment through paypal, and was immediately provided with an invoice.
Despatch email came through 2 days later with a notice stating that it will take between 4 - 12 working days. Finally received the package on the 16th of Jan which was exactly a week after getting the despatch notification. It was well packaged and had no damage. As it turns out, it was shipped from the UK so putting that into consideration, it was quick. Unfortunately having a name called Ozgameshop, I naturally thought it was a local business, but reading the company details clearly showed that it's a UK business.
I still saved a little bit of money so am satisfied with the purchase. Had a different expectation but they don't hide the fact that they're not based in Australia if you click through a bit more on their web page.
When I first started browsing on-line stores to find the most cheap and reliable site to purchase PC games I found many sites; but Oz game shop stood out the most. I was able to find the item which I wanted to pre order and it was one of the on-line stores which sold the game for the cheapest price. Service is very good. If the customer has any trouble or problems with their order their is a live chat feature which the customer can use to communicate directly to customer service and they can help you out right away rather that waiting days for an email response. the only downside to this site is as the store is based in the UK the amount of time it takes for your item to come can be tedious.. at times it can take up to 2 weeks for the items to arrive. all together this store is good for customers who like to shop on-line and get games at low prices.
